Awesome fish and chips style restaurants

We have visited here on prevoius holidays and are never disappointed. Fish and seafood are always fresh and great. Very good value for money!!

Good value for fish lovers

Visit Fish on the River restaurant, but ask to sit at the tables next to the river under the Willow trees. Order drinks at the bar and share the different options on the menu around the table. A great activity and not so expensive. This...place has history too, go visit the small museum next to kitchen for find out more.More

Great spot for a lazy summer afternoon

We recently visited this venue, which forms part of a small river waterfront development. Most of the tables are situated outside overlooking the river, thus providing a relaxing and attractive outlook. We ordered the grilled hake and chips, together with a salad - all of...which was nicely presented and fresh and tasty. A little different in that you place your order inside on arrival and once ready, its delivered to your table. A bar is available, also on a self service and payment basis. Certainly worth a visit if in the area.More

Great value, friendly efficient staff & tasty, well prepared food.

They have a reasonably priced, good extensive menu & also have weekly specials which were excellent quality & great value. The owners & staff are extremely helpful & friendly and the food & presentation are of a very high standard. They have both iside &...outside seating, so it is a great place by the river no matter what the weather. There were 7 of us eating at lunch time & the service was swift & seamless. We all enjoyed our food immensely & would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the area. Shelley & Courtney (mother & daughter owners) are excellent hosts.More

Perfect meal

We had lunch with long-time friends whom we haven't seen for ages. Perfect setting for a reunion and lovely food. We each ordered something different and shared. It was a wonderful meal of dorado, prawns and calamari with chips and salad. The desert afterwards was...just as good and two of us had the chocolate lava cake, which must be the best I have ever had in my entire life. Best seafood on the South coast of KZN. They do, however, have the quaint arrangement that you order and pay upfront at the counter for everything. You therefore make separate payments for drinks, food and desert. Really weird.More
