When we arrived there was a line but it moved quickly- they managed to keep the orders properly sequenced, although I don’t know how since we all milled about. You can see the men taking the bread from the oven and forming and cooking the...More

Usually I am not into fast food and I especially dislike all 'Döner Kebab' places anywhere (except in Turkey), but here I found a small oriental take-away-restaurant, which really surprised me. In the middle of Solothurn's beautiful old town is this small eating-place, which serves...More

In terms of quality, this can not be beaten. Dishes are flavourful, authentic, not oily and the hype is justified. Go there as often as I can. They only have very limited seating inside, but its really cosy and great for sharing a platter or...More

I wondered why a kebab sandwich was that expensive, but I was hungry and didn't have much time, so I ordered food here anyway. It was delicious. Pita bread filled with lots of fresh and healthy ingredients, and you can choose if you want it...More

This place is the best The hummus, chitney and harissa are home made, as well as the meat and the bread. For a small price you get a pita as big and thick as your face, with everything you can imagine inside of it. The...More

The Pittaria is a jewel in the heart of the beautiful old town of Solothurn. The Palestinian-born Sami Daher opened it in 1997 and made it known far beyond the city. From Tuesday to Saturday, freshly prepared authentic dishes and specialities from the Middle East are served here. A celebration for all the senses!
