This is some of the best food I have had in Florence. The restaurant is only open on the weekends (and, during the week, it serves as a culinary school). So they have all week to prepare the menu, which changes each week. And the...level of thought and preparation that goes into each week's menu really shows. I've eaten here two weekends in a row and the food has been exquisite! Last week I had a wonderful plate of gnudi (made from spinach and ricotta) with a delicately balanced pommodoro sauce. Tonight it was a pork tenderloin with a pear sauce and fresh pear compote and grilled green beans. Both times I started with a set of grilled vegetables that were out of this world (fresh zucchini and tomatoes - - not on the menu but they made it specially for me - - the service is as awesome as the food!). The bread is artisanal and freshly made on the premises. And, for dessert, the pannaccota with strawberry sauce is some of the best I've had. Max takes great care of the diners and the interior is really homey - - it's like eating at home but a bit more chic! I will definitely be coming back when I visit Florence next.More

We ate here because 3 different friends we know had given us suggestions for dinner in Florence and they all said we HAD to make a reservation at Touch! I'm so incredibly happy we did. They did have a few tables open when we got...there and were able to squeeze us in, but a recommendation is a must! The owner/chef was fabulous, he came out and showed us the Florentine steak that he was cooking us and made sure we got everything we needed. The appetizers and desserts were fabulous and unique. The food is fresh and filling, amazingly Italian but with a modern twist. This place was full of locals and tourists alike. A few blocks out of the main area, but not too incredibly far. We would highly recommend anyone we know going to Florence must go try Touch!More

Found this place thru TripAdvisor, searching for something close to our hotel on first night in Florence. We were all tired from overseas flight, and couldn’t believe our luck to find such great local fresh cuisine around the corner from where we were staying. Staff...was excellent; dealt with my nut and shellfish allergies with professionalism, and created beautiful and delicious meal for us. Stuffed zucchini blossoms were huge hit, very good carpaccio, “selfie” carbonara was excellent. Dessert was fun and yummy mini chocolate covered gelato bars; I can still taste them!More

Wonderful experience from start to finish! Had delicious ricotta/spinach gnudi with truffle, "selfie carbonara," and the chicken with tuscan herbs. They were also extremely considerate to the fact that I have some food allergies, and ensured that my panna cotta was safe to eat for...dessert, which was delicious!More

My sister and I visited Touch on the recommendation of a tour guide we had and were so glad that we did! The menu focuses on cooking with fresh local ingredients and traditional cooking techniques, so while they have some regular menu items, the menu...does change regularly--and in light of their philosophy, that's a good thing! Unlike some of the restaurants we visited on our trip, the staff had no problem with our sharing our dishes and automatically brought small plates to enable us to do so, but they also brought our 2 courses as 2 courses instead of bringing both at the same time--something that was an issue in most of the other restaurants we went to. During the course of the evening, Matteo (one of the chef-owners) stopped by our table to see how we were enjoying our dinner and he also regularly circulated among the other customers--and although we arrived early in the evening, by the time we left, most of the tables were full, so that kind of personal attention is pretty rare in a busy restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and of the highest quality. We had bruschetta and chicken roasted with Tuscan herbs and an arugula salad, which was perfect for us after a long, hot day if sightseeing (and a large lunch--we didn't plan very well, but it was our last night and we didn't want to miss eating here!). For dessert we split the pistachio creme millefoglio and the vanilla panna cotta, which sounds boring, but which were amazing. I still say that if I lived in Florence, I would go to Touch every night to get an order of the panna cotta to take home for breakfast the next day, it was that good (unlike most panna cottas made with gelatin, etc., they make it "the way our grandmothers did", so it was more like the smoothest, creamiest, richest baked custard you can imagine). And if I lived in Florence, I'd go there regularly for the other items on the menu, because everything on offer sounded amazing. They also had a very extensive wine list, including a number of choices sold by the glass.More
