Kantunera provided excellent service at an affordable price. The menu, written on chalkboards, brought an authentic feel to the “catch of the day” which is fitting when the street outside is a fish market in the mornings. With an excellent wine selection, and friendly staff...to suggest pairings, diners here can expect every meal to go off without a hitch. With picture perfect decor and plenty of outdoor seating, this restaurant is perfect for dates, and the aspiring Instagram foodies alike!More

There is a daily menu with different appetizers, pasta, fish and meat dishes. Me being a vegetarian I was spoiled with the most delicious pasta filled w/smoked eggplant and yellow tomatoes ( I still can recall the flavour if I concentrate), a fresh orange salad...and a yummie chocolate -salted caramel desert! And not only the taste also how the food was arranged on the plates looked fantastic. This applied any dish being brought to the guests' tables. The cook has a vast experience from all over the world. And the service couldn't be any nicer. The style of the place - all kept in blue and whiteinculidg the napkins! - with typical pattern give a nice ambience. This restaurant is a must if you go to Siracusa/Ortygia! And make sure you try dried tomatoes & olives!More

We found this place reading few tripadvisor reviews and it was a great choice. Food quality, presentation and portions are well worth the visit. The two owners are pleasant and very welcoming. The grilled ricciola was to die for as well as all of the...antipasti and the grilled octopus. Raw fish looked delicious too. We’ll come back for sure!More

Very friendly people working, extensive menu with a lot of seafood, quite a few wines. All dishes tasty and decent prices. Cheers to the friendly guy that used to live in Amsterdam.

The Kantunera is a real gem of a restaurant. Friendly staff delivering great service, and the most wonderful fish and seafood brilliantly cooked and presented. It was great to see such a variety of options on the menu, and how local ingredients are used to...compliment the fresh produce. I had the Tuna with yellow tomatoes - absolutely delightful, and perfectly cooked medium rare! However my partner chose the whole lobster, and that was the star of the show when it came beautifully grilled. A true feast but we still found time to enjoy an amazing desert (pistachio souffle). If you are in the area you must try la Kantunera. Incredibly fresh produce perfectly cooked and served by a wonderful team!More

The Kantunera restaurant was recommended by my sicilian friend - totally worth it. Best octopus I have ever tried, we came as a group of 10 people everyone was extremely happy with the dish and service. That’s the place to go 😍

Guys, this place is the place to go when you’re in Ortigia and want to eat extremely good! I mean, more than that! First of all, we were with english speaker friends, and Omar, the guy there, was really a PRO! So much courtesy and...he recited all the menu in english in the best way. And the food, ooohhh, the food. I’m italian and I love food and I love to eat, and I’m saying you this: all the courses were incredible, and beautifully presented. I’d suggest you something but I mean: you can’t possibly pick one among of all them. I’d just to it with the dessert: pick the one with pistacchio! It’s perfect! Come here and enjoy!More
