After the waterbus from salute, and then walking along the strada nova it was time for lunch. We have been to this restaurant a couple of times before, and always been great. Only two other guests when we entered, but then later on it began...to be busy. Good menu to suit all choices, we had two different pizza's and a great bottle of very cold venetian wine. Very nice inside, crisp white table cloths and good bathroomMore

We selected this restaurant based on the comments and since it was not too far from our hotel. The ambiance is nice, food and service is very good. Price might be high, but we are in in Venice!

I literally just had my dinner at this restaurant less than two hours ago. I was so impressed that I felt I had to review it as soon as I got back to my hotel. The setting first of all is amazing, overlooking the canal....I was there at night, but can imagine how beautiful it must look in the day time. What attracted me to the restaurant was the sign outside that spoke of their special of the day for 16 euros which was two courses. I chose from that menu and had the penne with shrimp and courgette to start - OMG!!! This was so tasty I honestly didn't need anything else. They also gave little baskets of bread, and when I polished my first one off, they brought me another (I thought, I'd better stop eating this bread because if they keep bringing me more I won't fit through the door on the way out!). I then had the sea bass with vegetables. The portion was not huge, it was just right. After my starter I was actually worried that the main would be too large to finish and I hate wasting food, so the amounts were perfect. I only drank still water so cannot comment on the wine I'm afraid. I would most certainly visit this restaurant again in the future. It really is a hidden gem. I'm shocked that there weren't more people there. The waiters were very attentive and the service was excellent.More

Wow, this was recommended by our hotel and did not disappoint. The food and service was excellent, good choice of wine too. Despite being in the centre of town the food was fresh and clean - nothing frozen here !

Stopped here for an evening meal as it was near to our apartment and the menu had some different choices to the rest of the restaurants in Venice, took a seat in the courtyard and made our choices. The starters of Baby shrimp in corn...cream was basically a plate of very mushy sweetcorn with a covering of very baby shrimps 16 euros and was tasteless whilst I had the Scallops gratin in their shells which were OK but 3 scallops for 18 euros was a bit of a steep price. Foe the mains my wife had lamb chops 30 euros which were very small and the fat had not been rendered down so they were tough and fatty whilst I had the fillet steak? with Parmesan cheese 28 euros which if I am honest I am not sure if it was a fillet steak and it was a bit overcooked (the waiter did not ask how I would like it cooked). We had asked for my wife's dish with the vegetables and a side of either roast or baked potatoes and I had a side order of fries. The wife's vegetables were missing and she was served chips and both my wife's and my own chips were cheap frozen fries like you get from Macdonalds. For drinks I had a large beer 15 euros and my wife had a few freshly squeezed orange juices at 6 euros a glass. Service was a bit hit or miss with the servers seeming to be more interested in the other dinners (maybe it was because they were ordering expensive wine or the fact that I was in a tee shirt and shorts who knows). We passed on dessert as we expected these would be as bad as the mains and instead walked up the road to get a delicious gelato. THE ICING ON THE CAKE IS THE WAY THE BILL IS PRESENTED WITH A DEVIOUS 12 1/2% SERVICE CHARGE ADDED THIS BROUGHT THE TOTAL UP TO 154 EUROS FOR TWO 2 COURSE MEALS WHICH EVEN FOR VENICE WAS OVERPRICED AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY. GIVE THIS PLACE A MISS THEIR ARE A LOT BETTER AND CHEAPER OPTIONS IN A CITY FULL OF RESTAURANTS AND BALANCING SERVICE COST FOOD AND THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE IS WHY I HAVE GIVEN IT A TERRIBLE RATING.More

Had an amazing fishy feast at this restaurant overlooking one of Venice’s many canals. Great service. And the food was to die for. Had an amazing table by the canal. Was very romantic.

Now this place is a gem in Venice! Eat here. The food and wine that my family and I had were very good and fairly priced at about €18-20. Our meals included the tagliolini with scampi and zucchini which was very tasty and fresh, the...eggplant parmigiana which had excellent flavour and my girls thoughts the pork chop and fries were very good. Wines by the glass were very good. The Prosecco was beautiful, light and clean on the palette. I just had to squeeze down a second glass 😉. The restaurant do not apply a cover charge (coperto) and yet gave us a complimentary bruschetta that was well seasoned along with plenty of bread, oil and balsamic vinegar. The restaurant does apply a service charge of 12% (servizio); however, the waiters were attentive, helpful and gave good service during our meal. Great job everyone!More

We had a really delicious meal at this restaurant overlooking the canal. There was a choice between a good and fair priced set meal and of course an a la carte menu. Service good and lovely ambiance too.

Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district)
