Don't even think about going here especially for Sunday lunch; the food is awful, tasteless shrimp in the shrimp cocktail and no foccacia to go with it, just a basket of dry bread, hardly any funghi in the pappardelle ai funghi porcini which were completely...tasteless, the main course of grilled fish was dry, the wine was barely drinkable (we took the most expensive bottle on the menu and when we ordered a second different bottle they didn't even bother to bring it) and the service wasn't much better either, not a smile to be found. You have to scream your head off to talk to the person you're with as the place is full of noisy groups and even then you can barely hear what the other person is saying and if there are two of you they squeeze you between two pillars so you can't move either. Couldn't wait to get out of there and skipped dessert as I couldn't stand it any longer. They didn't bring us a proper receipt just a handwritten total on a piece of paper and told us to go to the cashier if we wanted a proper one but by that time I only wanted to get out of there as fast as possible.More

To avoid if you have other options. Food is just ok , average , no attention to details in the preparation and serving. I u derstand prices are quite low and tasting the dishes you understand why. The worst thing of this restaurant are the...waiters . Unpoliteness is the rule , theyvtreat you without respect, loud voice , they embarass you woth jokes and they are not patient at all if you ask for something . Being a waiter is a difficult job , and probably people are like that because they are not well paid.More

I’ve been here while visiting my husband’s family in Italy and honestly I wasn’t impressed at all. The food tastes really great but very small portions. The staff never does a checkback and I understand we went on a day that was really busy but...you need to pay attention to your customers’ needs. They offered us some kind of prosecco before starting our lunch and I appreciated that but many things need to be improved, especially the staff need to be less rude and more attentive towards people who are giving them a reason to stay in their job.More

Very good food, variety of Italian specialties, family restaurant, fair price. Although the waiters did not speak English and our Italian is not the best, we managed to order 😄 and enjoyed it!

When was the last time you saw a restaurant menu typed with a manual typewriter on mimeograph/stencil? Here you can find one right now. The choice of dishes is also typical of 1970 mid-tier large restaurants for families and businesses in Milan, with at least...a dozen first and a dozen second courses mostly from Tuscany and Piedmont, plus "da farsi" (express-made, mostly grilled and fried) dishes. Lots of local patrons, in families mostly led by seniors, on a Sunday. We had a couple of good first courses - homemade potato and flour gnocchi were very good, in a light "Piedmontese" tomato and cheese sauce, and risotto with mushrooms. Second courses were dull and unremarkable - we tried a baby goat stew on polenta, grilled sausages and a beef filet steak. Desserts looked just as bland and we skipped them. Service was fast and accurate, and the cost was reasonable, if higher than we expected and many here reported.More

We were recommended this restaurant as a typical family trattatoria. The owners were a bit frosty to begin with but put that down to the usual stresses of running a restaurant. The staff were initially helpful and we coped with a lack of English to...order a very nice first course. We also ordered wine that never came. For some reason, after that, they took offence and they refused to take our second course order or even acknowledge us - the staff ignored us and we had to leave. Never known anything like it - there were 6 of us willing to spend lots of money! The frustrating thing is we will never know why!More

This is a busy local restaurant on a main road 10-15 minutes’ walk from the Novotel Nord and Ibis hotels. I was taken there by an Italian colleague who assured me it is the nearest decent restaurant to both. The abundance of diners who were...clearly local suggest it’s a good spot and our experience supports that. The place has large indoor and outdoor eating areas, the inside room was very stuffy on the (very warm) evening we visited, outdoors was better and well screened from the adjacent main road. Service was friendly, fast and efficient. The menu (only available in Italian) was broad, wide ranging and changed daily. Everything from meat & fish, through pasta, pizza and risottos were covered. My veal with pepper sauce was absolutely delicious. The entire meal, two courses plus wine for two came to under €60 - staggering value. Strongly recommended with one word of caution, I was with an Italian colleague so everything was easy. I’m not sure how well I, and/or the staff, would have coped if we’d had to rely on English when ordering. Take a local or a phrase book.More

Stayed at the next door Hotel Gala and was recommended the restaurant next door by the hotel staff. What a recommendation! Food was very flavoursome, filling and - even though I spoke no Italian - I was able to communicate with the staff who provided...me with so much food I was stuffed full at the end. And all for just 14 euros (cheap by Milan standards!). The hospitality was great too as they brought out drinks and bread sticks, fruit bowls - all complimentary. This is a family run business where the emphasis is on good food, atmosphere, hospitality and generally leaving you with a smile on my face which I most definitely had! A must visit in Milan!More
