I come from Scotland and visit Italy each summer (spending a few days each time in Cinque Terre). I've been to Nesundorma for the past 3 summers now for drinks/nibbles. However this summer I booked the Pesto making experience (surprise as part of my partners...birthday).
We visited early August, our pesto making experience was moved back by a day due to bad weather (totally understandable they want you to have the best experience). Simone the owner who takes the pesto making experience was amazing, so knowledgeable of the area, what goes in to pesto making and the whole experience was fun and interactive. Not to mention looking over the absolutely stunning views of Manarola :) Simone had some great stories to tell and spoke very well English for those who didnt speak Italian.
After the Pesto making we were able to sit and enjoy an amazing lunch of crostini, cured meats, fresh bread and the pesto we made, there was a lot of food and a beautiful bottle of wine! We ended up staying and ordering some more wine and the staff brought out a nutella focaccia for my partners birthday which was a really nice touch!
All in all Nessundorma is definitely not to be missed and very reasonably priced, whether you just go for a drink in the evening, afternoon, or book the pesto making experience. I really love it here and will continue to come back each time i visit the Cinque Terre (most summers)! The views are outstanding and its worth visiting during the day and in the evenings.
Also, despite visiting during Covid-19, i felt completely safe with everything being very well organised and clean. Thank you Simone and all of the staff at Nessundorma, we will definitely be back :) !!More
