The desserts were made in-house, the staff was incredibly accommodating (and even let me customize one of their signature sandwiches), I found the price was super reasonable, especially for the region. My wife and I got two big sandwiches, two desserts, two tall cocktails and two coffees for under 40 Euro. They also speak multiple languages and have extensive knowledge of the local vinyards and wines. Best decision I made in Cinque Terre!

We have been to Manarola few times but until last week never eat in that place. This time we hiked from RioMaggiore and get into the rain, thunder and lightning. Got pretty wet and as came down to Manarola spotted this place and decided to try. It did not disappoint. We tried their signature fish terrine, Manarola and Corniglia focaccia. All was very tasty. The owner, knows a lot about local wine and suggested some we tried which were very good as well (we had mixed experiences with Cinque Terre wines in the past). I think they also offer wine tasting - which we will definitely try next time we visit Cinque Terre. Service was quick and pleasant. Place is quite small so you may have to wait, but it is worth it.

We got three extremely delicious sandwiches there for lunch. They make really interesting sauces and combinations, not these standard cheese, tomato, ham stuff you get everywhere. My favourite is the sandwich with octopus. The plum cake was just lovely as well. Definitly worth the trip

We came across this place by chance and it turned out to be a great choice. Attentive and very friendly service, in one word impeccable. The cappun magru, which gives the place its name, was delicious, the special sandwiches were also of an excellent standard. They recommended a local white wine (a Luni winery) which satisfied us a lot. Prices are in line with the quality and service offered. If you're in the neighborhood, it's highly recommended.

Now, excessive tourism - we know - often leads those who receive it to abdicate the rigor of quality in the name of very easy wide margins. Manarola is a jewel village, but withstands perhaps excessive pressure from kaleidoscopic visitors... At Cappun Magru in Manarola, on the other hand, they have not fallen into the persuasive pania of easy earning: what they propose and serve are preparations of superb quality and iron gastronomic rigor. Yes, the place is small but so it is and for excellent things it is logical to know how to wait, then it is so suggestive... the service is friendly and professional, the bill more than calibrated to what they serve. Then here, on everything they prepare, rises their "Cappon Magro", a monument of the seafood cuisine of that Liguria, an incomparable absolute masterpiece of heavenly harmony and admirable architecture. Anyone who does not want to acknowledge this is either in blatant bad faith or has no knowledge of what the culinary art is, namely knowing how to eat... Maurizio from Bologna

The small restaurant is in the picturesque town of Manarola in the 5 Terre. The boss is a very nice and professional German who has lived in the town for many years and is a trained sommelier. The wine list is really worth seeing and the corresponding recommendations are spot on. The restaurant is very small, but also has a few tables outside. The menu is clear. The main dishes are the homemade panini, which in our opinion are completely overpriced at a flat rate of €10. If you add wine, coffee or other small dishes, the price gets really steep. We would like to praise the homemade cakes and other desserts!

The place doesn't look like much from the outside but, if like me, you choose the gastronomic plate (very original in its diversity and in its very design with noble products such as an oyster, fish, mussels etc. ) well you will be delighted with this inventive proposal, especially compared to the surrounding restaurants (keep in mind that this is not a pasta dish with a little basil pesto but, products whose purchase even costs money)... It is no coincidence that Le Routard highly recommends it and that you sometimes have to fight especially to get a small table outside. Charming waiter, welcome and service worthy of the place. The lemon cheesecake was also great...

Stopped here for a quick glass of wine. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the local wines. I had a Cinque Terre DOC “Costa da Posa” which was excellent for an afternoon drink. It was served with Pecorino cheese, bread and grapes. Will come back again!

Stopped here for breakfast one morning and were amazed at what just two women can do in such a small space behind the counter! We ordered inside and then found a table on the porch. Coffees were good as were the focaccia sandwiches. The pastry we selected was well made/baked, but not to our liking. We're planning to go back to try the seafood sandwiches at lunch.

It is located slightly of the beaten tourist path, but allows to enjoy the sounds of the river passing under Manarola and a view to the iconic church. In my opinion, the coffee there is best in Manarola. We also enjoyed breakfast, lunch, sweets and selection of wine.

Outside the chaotic area of Manarola, slightly up next to the small church of San Lorenzo, this small place is immediately welcoming. Few tables, friendly managers, everything as it once was.. It's a shame not to have been able to try the Cappun Magru specialty, which was sold out, but the excellent fish sandwiches we tasted were really tasty. The place is a gem. Well done!

Eerily good, authentic food, most lovingly prepared with top fresh local ingredients (fresh from the market every day). Very friendly, the owner, great wine selection and overall everything a quality holiday experience. Since we were in the predecessor restaurant 25 years ago, we know that the tradition of parents was continued here with a lot of love. We were really excited. And will definitely come back.

Wow!!! Small family run restaurant with exceptional food and service. Their sandwiches are incredible offering unique and delicious seafood combinations of flavors. Their daily specialties are also not to be missed. Do not skip dessert as they’re homemade and again unique flavors. Oh!! Don’t skip the wine either and ask for recommendations and you’ll truly enjoy your dining experience. They’re only open for lunch. We went 3 times and would have gone more if we were in Cinque Terre for longer.

Absolutely loved this place and went back twice during our two days in the area. Only popped in for wine but the chap who runs it with his mum was hugely knowledgable and recommended different glasses, all of which were delicious. It’s got such a lovely atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle, overlooking the square. Our only regret - not being there in time for food. Well worth a visit.

We had lunch there and took the sandwiches named the villages in cinque terre. They cost 8€ each and are not bigger than a hand. The price is definetly too high but this whole area is pricey! Friendly staff - good food - high prices
