Excellent restaurant, small but cozy. The Calçots that are cooked here are the best you can try in Madrid. It is a family place with first class service and attention. If you are in Madrid during the winter months, do not miss out on enjoying...More

We read in google that this was the best place to eat pan tumacat (a kind of bread with tomato from Cataluña) so we went cause we love this bread. It was not good at all. I don't recommend this place, however the man who...More

Great restaurant. The focus here is on the food and they do a great job. Greating customers as you walk in is a wood /charcoal fired grill cooking a la brasa staples. The calcots are a must in-season. Will be back.

We thought this would be a good place to eat considering the amount of locals eating here. Unfortunately, the food was very inconsistent. Our mixed salad was very good and generous for two people. However, the grilled meats were undercooked. Which is a huge problem...More

I was very underwhelmed by this place. Although the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food is no better than average. The calçots were my highlight, if anything. Probably wouldn't go back.

Don't expect a fancy restaurant. Filled with locals and friends of the staff. Food is very basic, but great: a piece of ham is just that, and grilled vegetables means grilled vegetables. Basically, everything they serve passes the guy operating the grill in front of...More

We went to this restaurant because the DK guide book mentioned their delicious meat and grilled vegetables. At 21:45 we were the first to arrive (and we remained the only customers). We both had ham and asparagus as a starter. The ham was nice but...More

If you are a western American, you may find Can Punyetes a bit befuddling. The Spanish cuisine here is very simple and prides itself most on grilled meats. Yes, you can likely do it better at home with higher quality meats for much, much cheaper....More

On my final night in Madrid, a great friend introduced me to Can Punyetes, and it was a wonderful, comforting end to a great week in this incredible city. While this is a "chain" of restaurants with 3 options in Madrid and a few in...More

We ate here on a busy Sunday with some other friends who are also living here in Madrid doing some academic work for the year. It's a terrific location quite near the museums and also near to Plaza Santa Ana, not too far from the...More
