Another great restaurant in Barcelona. Have been before and loved it and was not disappointed this time. Wonderful food, wine and service. A definite must and can't wait to return
Another great restaurant in Barcelona. Have been before and loved it and was not disappointed this time. Wonderful food, wine and service. A definite must and can't wait to return
Uninspired, over-priced food. We went here with relatively high expectations. Granted, the restaurant is located on a charming side street. When we arrived, there was no one to greet us for about 5 minutes. Not a good start. We each ordered the seasonal menu and...1 sangria and an old fashioned. A restaurant of this calibre should know that an old fashioned is made with bourbon not whisky, and yet... I'm not going to run through what we ate, but I will say it was annoying that the waiter pretty much whispered what we were being served every time, so I couldn't hear anything he said. The food just didn't hit it out of the park - by a long shot. I found it to be a notch above generic. And the bill irritated me because I don't feel it was worth what we paid. There are plenty of great restaurants in Barcelona. Go elsewhere.More
This was first night in Barcelona after a short journey from Liverpool and although we hadn’t booked this restaurant they found us a very pleasant table and we settled in for the evening. We started with Iberian ham and bread with tomato, followed by cannellini...and a duo of sea bass and tuna tartare. For mains we had breast of duck cooked pink and hake with mild creamy sauce. The staff were friendly and courteous and the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere. This is our third visit to Barcelona. We will return to this excellent restaurant on our next visit.More
It is difficult to highlight what is better in Petit Comite: the food? Outstanding. The Service? Outstanding? The wine? Outstanding. And the decoration? Also outstanding. After the courtesy salmorejo taste, we had the tartar (duo of tuna and branzino), the tomato and cod salad, scallops...(vieras), and baby squid. Difficult to say what was better. The tomato salad was spectacular (and yes i love tomato….but this was a different league). The tartar also very good, but if i have to choose one to replace in a second visit this would be the one. And between the vieras and the squid I guess up to your taste but none of the, is goig the defraud you. All was accompanied by one of the best Albariño bottles i have had in years (SanAmaro) served at perfect temperature by an able sommelier. All for US$217.More
This restaurant is really one of the best refined restaurants in Barcelona. There were lots of special on a separate menu and every dish is available as a half portion for tasting. There were lots of appetisers you can order by the piece. The oysters...were phenomenal as were the anchovies. The cannelloni was a house special and absolutely delicious. The red prawn tartare was deliciously fresh but a touch overwhelmed by the soy sauce. Main courses of the seabass and suckling pig were perfect. Lots of desserts that were tempting and we settled on the 70% chocolate rendition which was really good. A truly amazing restaurant.More
Mediocre. Mid. Did not meet expectations. Wouldn’t try again. Food was a 5/10. Staff was a 6/10. Only go for wine.
Visited Petit Comité twice in conjunction with our daughter´s graduation dinner, and out of all the restaurants we tried in Barcelona (including 4 different Michelin star digs), this is the place she wanted to celebrate her graduation at - and it was a great choice!...She wanted traditional yet stylish Catalan cooking with excellent raw materials and this was a great choice: everything very fresh and well-cooked, preserving the essence of "typical Catalan cuisine" yet with a modern touch. The meat and fish dishes were all excellent, as were all of the appetizers and deserts (particularly the Crema Catalana mousse - wow!!!). The only so-so dish we felt was the rice dish, which was served a bit cold and undercooked (and I have been making paellas and rices over woodburning barbecues for over 35 years, so don't tell me it is supposed to be slightly undercooked - I know the difference!), but perhaps that was just a glitch on that particular day. Everything else was wonderful on both occasions, with attentive service and classy surroundings, so this is definitely a safe bet for old-school Catalan cuisine!More
The food was delicious - fresh and traditional Catalan ingredients cooked to perfection. I had the lamb and enjoyed every last bit. They also have a wonderful selection of wines. Highly recommended and will definitely return.
We booked a table for 8pm which was the earliest available. Service was efficient, friendly, if not particularly warm. No one really proactively explained the menu or the wine list which is a book in every sense. Perhaps it's the language barrier, or that we...did not ask any questions. Anyway, we decided to do the a la carte menu. We ordered the red prawn carpaccio and cannelloni with black truffle sauce to start, both were delicious. For main course we had the cod with pil-pil sauce and suckling pig with strawberry and onion salad. The cod was cooked perfectly but it was a tiny bit salty for our taste. The suckling pig was excellent, tender and juicy. The onion salad is really an onion puree, as a matter of translation. For dessert, we ordered the Catalan cream because we saw plenty of others ordering it, and it did not disappoint. By the time we left around 10pm, we noticed that most of the tables were filled with locals, so that's a good sign. Would definitely recommend.More
This was the second time we ate at this restaurant, after a friend recommended it. It’s absolutely delicious! It also has a very relaxed and understated ambiance. Definitely worth a visit or two!!
An amazing lunch with all dishes excellently presented and tasted divine. The service is extremely attentive and the dishes were interspersed small tasting dishes from the kitchen. The wine list in unbelievable and covers every possible taste
The service excellent. The air conditioning clearly not working so why not say so. Our food great save for one choice probably not to do with cooking but choice! Everything else exceptional, service wine list etc. Unfortunately at 200+ euro for 2 spoilt by air...conditioning not working which is not fair on us as customers or staff or the quality of the food.More
I went for dinner with business partners as I was surprised. I loved the food, very tasty and well finished catalan cousine. The service is also great, a surprise based on the average service quality on Bcn. I didnt pay, so I have no idea...if the price is good or too expensiveMore
¡Thank you so much! ¡Hope to see you soon!
Excellent restaurant with high quality food with many gluten free options. Waiters are very aware of the gluten topic and treat you with total professionality. They make you feel special in a good way. Special mention for “Arròs del senyoret”.
Thank you very much for your really positive feedback from all of the team. We really appreciate it. We look forward to seeing you again.
clearly the maitre d (manager ) was sick on the night we went.. I had a bad feeling when we were sat on raised stools ( uncomfortable for me ) a long way from the Kitchen and i felt the icy chill on my back...every time the front door was opened... the bad feeling got worse as the evening progressed ... after waiting for over ten minutes I had to leave my table to place an order for some wine ... The food was good / my congratulations to the chef ...but the staff were unhappy / very dis organised / and made a pigs ear of the whole service...We at one point had a bottle of red wine opened on the table / but no wine glasses ... the bread arrived / but no plates and so it went on ... at one point the wine waiter poured some body else's wine into one of our glasses !! chaos ensued ... it was a very easy decision not to pay any service charge on top of a bill of more than 250 Euros for a two course meal.... there is so much more i could say / but one of the worst customer service experiences ever / if you want to experience great customer service go to the Slow and Low ( Comte Borrell) ...a divine experience / in a different class of food and service from the Petite Comite ...More
