Amazing food! But if you want to go there you HAVE TO have a reservation. The place is always full and I understand why. It's a small but nice place and they have a nice selection of typical Thüringer Küche and some creative dishes with...Klöße. The food was amazing!! If I can I will come back.More
Definitely one of the best restaurants in town: make sure you book a table well in advance; the place is small and tables are hard won. I went in and they had a vacant place. I had a traditional Thueringian meal which was recommended to me. It was the right choice. The Bratwuerst along with one potato dumpling (it is very big) and I chose cauliflower instead of cabbage. It was...excellent and delicious. The service was very very good as well.More
Get reservations in person if you want to make sur eyou have a table. They are not very big and get filled up quickly. however, when you are there you are treated very well. The service was great, and the food was delicious traditional fare....The wine was extraordinary. Try the dumplings for traditonal fare or just about anything is good.More
Weimar on a Sunday evening in January is not over provided with open restaurants , and the “ sharp corner “ is not that easy to find , but book ahead , and use your gps to locate and you will not be disappointed ......the fat frau with the plate of dumplings by the door will confirm your safe arrival . We have had several visits to Bavaria , and have gradually got to know our way around a Bavarian menu , but the food in neighboring Thuringia is slightly different , and the Scharfe Ecke provides you with a tasty introduction . Sure , meat and dumplings provide the staples , but the cuts are different , and the salmon with fried dumpling was different again . Washed down with the local dark beer , or the sweet local Riesling , it makes a tasty and affordable meal .....More
We saw this place - just opposite our accommodation - had great reviews, and managed to book a table for an early dinner. My husband enjoyed his hearty meal of sausage, red cabbage and the famous Thüringer Klöße (potato dumplings). My smoked salmon and rosti...(picutred) was also delicious.More
Was very fortunate to get a table on a Sunday night with friends who were visiting from Bavaria. The service is good, the atmosphere is nice, the food is tasty and the portion sizes are large. I had the Tafelspitz vom Rind Meerrettichsauce, grüne Bohnen,...und 2 Thüringer Klöße. My friends had other dishes but we were all happy with our food and had a great night.More
