In my opinion, this is the best Bratwurst I have ever tasted. Not being any kind of chef, I can't describe the taste of these little darlings, but I DO know that they are absolutely delicious. In warm weather, you can sit outside, right next...to the Old Bridge, and enjoy the bratwurst with Bier. And during the Christmas season, they are selling their delicious brats at the Christmas Market in the center of town. Don't miss it!More

Best sausage place in Germany!

I am not a fan of German cuisine and I am not a fan of sausages, but believe it or not, this is the only place where my family and I ate twice in the same day (maybe because there is not much of a...choice elsewhere;);). Jokes apart, the sandwich was absolutely excellent, the craut were perfectly cooked, the sausage was tasty and the sweet mustard just fabulous. Result: we reluctantly got a sandwich on the go and 3 hours later went back and sat down for another (bigger) portion. There must be a reason if the this place has been open for 900 years.More

Great place to stop on a bike ride

Great place to stop on a bike ride and enjoy good food. You pay for the location more than the food. There is an inside restaurant also.

We eat here all the time.

We get a plate of 8 sausages with sour Kraut and a side of potato salad which we split. Of course we get a beer with our meal. It’s nice to sit outside by the river and to watch the people stroll by. We eat...here at least once or twice a month.More

It’s what it is. 700 year old take away

It’s a popular place so be prepared to wait. There are a few seats, so most people do the take away. 2 sausages on a bread roll with Sauerkraut if you like.

The oldest Fastfood

The best sandwich with Bavarian sausages. It is a must if you are visiting the city of Regensburg. You can have a seat or only easily eat your sandwich walking in downtown.

Best sauage in Germany

Even though it was December 2017 and cold outside the sauage that I got here was the highlight of my river cruise. I am not a kraut fan, never have been, but I tried some on my sauage along with the mustard sauce and the...sandwich was the best I had ever had. Also had a cold beer to wash it down. Well worth the trip to stop and have the best sauage in Germany.More

Amazing finger size sausages

We were told they had the best sausages in Germany and so we had to try them. We had a lovely lunch and they were very good sausages with sauerkraut. This is the original sausage kitchen in the world and the building is unique. The...setting is lovely on the edge of the river and a lovely atmosphere.More

MUST EAT! So good that I decide

MUST EAT! So good that I decide to pick a second one immediately. Bread with nice spices, bratwurst, mustard and kraut. Just 3€. Wunderbar!

They have a much bigger menu if you eat inside. You would be able to find gluten free items, just as I was able to find a solid vegetarian meal! Good luck :)

Hey, RR did you know you can get the original Wurstkuchl in the USA? Try it on wurstkuchl / com and bring back the memories without flying over to germany (even since this will make sense cause it is still different over there and you get the brats as well :-).)
