New owner - even better

Another reviewer called this “a solid choice” and I think this is an apt description. Ferdinand has retired and a new owner has taken over and subtly made the good things even better. We were a group of 8 and all had different pizzas from the wide choice on the menu (also available to take away). Brilliant, freshly prepared and freshly cooked. No complaints at all. The place was busy yet service was efficient, personal and charming. The are no airs and graces about the food or services. It’s just plain old good at reasonable prices. Good luck to the new owners they deserve to do well.

Outstanding food at good value

During our first trip to Courchevel we found this amazing Pizzeria. It was a very nice. The staff was friendly and provided great service. The food was outstanding as well. Pizza is really only one of their mains with a great selection of other tasty Italian offerings. Our party of 5 got to try several items including a few bottles of recommended wines. We enjoyed it so much we returned on our last night before returning home. Some food highlights I would recommend trying: Foccacia bread - Wow, this was especially nice. Very well prepared with a great pesto on it. Carlotta Pizza - Very tasty very much a favorite to try again. Second favorite was the La Courchevel Pizza. Everyone got a taste of and loved their Lasagnes De boeuf - This seems like a simple dish but it was made very well and has outstanding flavor. Our meal(s) was really outstanding and we enjoyed eating there and have plans to return next year and will return to La Cortona again.

The menu is simple: only pizzas, but they are really good and big choice between 2 desserts that evening, tiramisu or crème brûlée (my choice and it was very good) a pizza costs around 18 euros, it's almost double at home, but it's very good value for money for Courchevel, where it's really difficult to find food for a decent price the boss may seem gruff, but he is simple and friendly only negative point, I should have pointed it out: the stools are uncomfortable for eating, because there is no backrest, plus it's not practical because you can't hang your bag and jacket

I ordered 4 pizzas to go at 7pm and was told they would be ready in 90 minutes. After 80 minutes, I went there and they said they served the tables first and it would be another 45 min. Unacceptable. Pizza takes 5 min to cook in the wood oven. Terrible service. To be avoided.

If you want great pizzas cooked in a traditional oven it’s still going to fit the bill, and we were served by a very good waiter, but the previous owner has sold up and moved on and the place has a bit of a different ‘feel’ now. We visited about 15 times over the last twenty years, either lunchtime or evening (not since 2020 due to covid) and it really did have a family restaurant feel about it. The food is just as good now and if this review were solely about the food I’d have given it four stars. However, it’s really now a bar restaurant, there is a big new bar installed as evidence, reducing the number of individual tables as a consequence, plus two large wall mounted TVs. Gone are the gingham table cloths, old fashioned menus and the old ‘mountain restaurant’ feel, also gone is lunchtime opening. Don’t get me wrong, if watching old football games on TV with your mates and having a few beers with your pizza is what you’re after it’s got everything. But (I know you’re not supposed to start a sentence with ‘But’) if you’ve enjoyed its particular ambiance in the not so distant past you may be a little disappointed. The photos on their website, and the website descriptions (including renaming to ‘Corto’) need to be changed to reflect the changes within the restaurant otherwise it’s a bit misleading in my view.

Excellent food and a warm welcome

We are here twice during a recent ski trip. Once for an evening meal and once for lunch. I had the best pizza I've ever eaten, and the onion soup was pretty good too. A lovely warm welcome and very attentive staff. Pretty good value for Courchevel,too. Just down from the main street. Give it a try!

Excellent thin base Italian pizzas and delicious pasta.

We went to the bar without a booking but early (6.30pm) and had a great informal meal of pizza and pasta dishes. Pierre was friendly and helpful. If we were staying longer we would definitely return here. Also had Premier League football on the screens.

Great pizzas!

Delicious pizza!! I give it 15 out of 10. Wood burning pizza oven, fireplace...very friendly, local type of hangout. Gets lively later in the evening. 100% one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Thank you!

A cosy pizzeria with a wide selection of italian and french food

This small pizzeria was a cosy place and the pizzas were simply great. They also had kids menu. Very quick and friendly service. Arrive around 6pm or latest 6.30 if you do not have a reservation. We tried to make one but the restaurant never got our mail or reply it.

Really good pizzas!! Great spicy oil. Excellent ingredients that make the perfect pizzas in a good ambience, nice service and great staff!! Just a small thing please next time if you could have better wine bottles in the carta will be appreciated

Still the best Pizza in the 3 Valleys

Ok, so this is a repeat review but it's because we did a repeat visit - or visits. Without doubt this is the best pizza you will find anywhere in the 3 Valleys. The owner Pierre is friendly, welcoming and takes great pride in his restaurant. give it a try. eat in or takeaway you won't be disappointed.

Wonderful fresh tasty pizzas cooked to order to take away. Super friendly staff. Ordered for a skiing party for chalet host night off. Would definitely recommend!! Merci.

Great Atmosphere, Food and Service

We spent 8 weeks in the resort this season. Had many great meals in La Corto. Excellent customer service from Pierre and his team. Food, service and atmosphere are second to none. Already looking forward to returning during the 24/25 ski season. Phil and Viv

Be careful from this place. They are crooks. They mix our orders with someone else and didn’t agreed to replace and blame us that we order it- which we didn’t. When my wife came they threaten her!!!! Don’t go to this place
