They have great pizzas. The staff were excellent and friendly. Careful with the olive oil. It packs a punch heat-wise but is delicious! Just a great place all-around.

Here we had the best pizzas in Paris though the price was a bit high we felt. Overall nice experience with the smiling and fast service and of course the nice pizzas.

What a nice piece of Italy in France. If you find a place to sit (the restaurant seems to be always full!!!), you will enjoy a very nice meal... doesn't matter what you order, I am sure we will like it!

The food was excellent, we ate there on two consecutive nights. We had lasagna and cannelloni after a free appetiser of pizza and olives. They open at 6.30pm when other eateries nearby open at 7pm so it's good for the tourist who wants to eat early. The owner doesn't speak English but other staff do. We went back on Sunday and the owner was alone so after much gesturing, he understood our order. At the end of the meal the owner presented us with bottles of Grappa, Marsala, Amaretto and shot glasses to have a drink, all on the house. We felt like we were in his home. Only two doors from our Tim Hotel, we would definitely go again.

Went to Girasole with fairly high hopes, and admitingly a Trip Advisor voucher which implied we could order anything outside of set meals and drinks at 40% off. Girasole refused to recognize this and charged and admittingly fair rate for Paris. That said the atmosphere was lackluster as we were the only costumers present. Furthermore the staff made us feel rather unwelcome and when I suggested that we may be able to use the voucher provided through Trip Adviser, that wait staff scoffed and ignored it entirely. Thus in short, oddly shaped and burnt pizza, passable pasta and a staff utterly unwilling to follow through with the offers suggested/put forth by their own management. Definite worth avoiding.

We were meeting up with friends and wanted somewhere to have a leisurely lunch before visiting the Natural History Museum and Jardin des Plantes.
This restaurant was ideally situated and the menu suited all tastes.
The staff were friendly and efficient.
The food was good.
Only possible complaint was the high price of wine - but I guess this is Paris!

But don't expect too much. This is not fine food, merely good value for a quick lunch in the neighborhood.
For an Italian place, i would say pasta was a little overcooked, rather than al dente. Desserts are nice.
(We only went there because on Mondays, the neighbor, les Trois Carafes, which I usually like, was closed.)

The best pizza I ever had. Just amazing. The spaghetti is also good. The water very polite. If I wasn't coming back to Brazil tomorrow I would come back here.

We have just enjoyed an excellent Christmas lunch at Girasole. Three (and a half) courses, each one as good as the others. We shared entree platters including carpaccio which was fab. Mains were generously sized and very tasty. Desserts indulgently sweet. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly (and child-friendly). The English menu options were helpful. Not cheap, but generous portions and good quality deliver value. Perhaps not a traditional Christmas lunch for us, but Christmas Day might be more enjoyable if this became traditional Yuletide fare.

We had no reservation, just walked over one evening from Bercy on the way to the Latin Quartier. We stumbled upon Girasol as it was opening. This smallish restaurant is caddy corner to the Natural History Museum. Low traffic area, so nice to not have a dinner paired with exhaust and noise for a change. The owner and staff are lovely! Friendly, attentive, eager to please. Our dinners were plentiful and simply delicious (veal, shrimp and calamari, tortellini duo). Cooked to perfection. Finishing with homemade desserts was divine - the best creme brûlée I have ever had! Highly recommend.

I too feel a bit mean giving this place an average weighting, but it was only average - Menu available in English, two of us dined here in June - Escl Marsala - veal a little tough for our liking, excellent Antipasti - not the best Tiramisu I've ever tasted - close to our hotel 74 Euros - shared starter, 2 mains, 1 dessert, 2 beers - 1 glass wine -

I feel a bit mean giving this place an "average" weighting. We dined quite early and it wasn't busy.
We had an aperatif, starters (substantial), a meat main course, sorbets and a bottle of wine. The bill for two came to €109.
There were some very enjoyable flavours at each stage but one of the starters was burnt round the edges and the waiter forgot that my dining companion had ordered salad rather than chips with her veal.
In summary, you leave with a pleasant glow but a much lighter wallet!

When my mother and I visited Paris we had the chance to eat here 2 times. Both meals were very delicious and filling. I would highly recommend this resturant to anyone in the area.

Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendour and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighbourhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
