A filthy and dirty place. We were ushered to sit next away from the restaurant. We sat and started to comment, the waiter smelled really bad and the glasses of water were not clean. After ordering water, we decided it wasn’t a safe place to...eat and due to the bad smell, we were disgusted. When we asked for the check, they told us off for sitting and not ordering. The waiter wanted to to take extra money because we sat and didn’t order. At the same time, next to the place was another falafel place with a long queue. Hence, we understood why the place was ghosted.More
In three words: an amazing dinner. My friend and I both had the falafel plate which was a great sized portion with hummus and loads of vegetables. Waiters were friendly, drink selection was good, would return.
I was willing to give this place a chance despite the poor reviews. Obviously, anyone that comes here is because they don’t or can’t wait in the long line for the famous falafel place down the street. With that being said, I have never left...a restaurant so unhappy in my life. It started with us sitting down and ordering food, only to be told that we had to order 3 items (entrees) for the 4 people. When my husband went inside to pay our bill, they took half of our food and threw it away. It was literally a full plate and a full pita sandwich….obviously, we weren’t done. To be fair, no one was at the table when they came by. When I brought this to their attention that we went inside to get boxes to go…instead of offering to make us another pita or apologize. They just shrugged their shoulders. Stay away from this place! Unbelievable treatmentMore
There’s a block on rue des Rosiers with several falafel joints: comparable menus, prices and quality. We’ve tried them all over the years. The one with the biggest reputation had a line 30 people long yesterday. Once we dined in down the block at King...Falafel on a blustery day. Food fine, but service mediocre. Yesterday we wanted takeout to eat outside in a nearby park with sun, shade and seating. A rude rooster of a man patrolling the front of King Falafel was urging passers-by to go in, but his interaction with us this time was so off-putting we crossed the street, got friendly service and a generous helping to go with no waiting in line.More
Suuuuuuuuperrrrr!! Never eaten better falafel before Also the guys were very nice The location clean and the price fair
There are several falafel shops on this street, and there’s a long line waiting to order at one. That line did not lead to King Falafel Palace, but their dining room was still fairly full. So that’s why we gave this place a try, and...I’m glad we did. The food was tasty and filling, it was inexpensive and it didn’t take long for the food to arrive at our table. What else could you ask for?More
Best falafel I have ever had. Great mixture of ingredients and textures. Service was friendly and accommodating. Will be back.
Food is medium, made for crowds, kind of fast really. The queue would make you think it is better. The toilet seems to have not been cleaned for ages.
Excellent wraps to take away. You could eat in and pay more, but really the vibe here is to walk up, get your order, and walk around the streets eating it.
We should have continued to walk down Rue des Rosiers to find the perfect falafel place that I remember from years past. And I should have noticed that there are no Israelis working in this place. We got inauthentic falafel, everything on my plate was...poor. Unfriendly service. Just a bad place. Go to one of the others.More
A man that works at the restaurant yelled and shamed me for taking a clean fork of the table next to me after I dropped my fork. He was very rude and his shaming ruined my appetite even though I was enjoying the good. Too...bad the customer service ruins a dining experience.More
Not clean, not good, not welcoming! In the sandwich the meat was hot and the vegetables were cold as if we had just taken them out of the refrigerator and with the taste of the refrigerator. We came my couzin and me after a show...at the point virgule and 20 min after we started to have a stomach ache. Today we are the day after and I still have a stomach ache. To avoid absolutely!More
I should have queued up at Mi-Va-Mi again but was hungry and thought that I’d at least get the opportunity to review somewhere else….I should have stuck to my gut instinct. I had previously eaten the merguez pitta wrap from the above place the evening...before and it was delicious and so I opted for the same meal at King Falafel to compare. The food looked great but that’s where the similarities ended sadly. There was an underlying burnt flavour and bitterness taste to the whole meal and the merguez were not as tasty. They tasted a little strange and not the typical flavour that I was used to and loved. The accompanying sauce didn’t help to elevate the flavours either and in comparison to Mi-Va-Mi, I was left totally disappointed. I think that the aubergines had also not been properly salted/prepared and that’s where the bitterness came from. It was sadly not a nice last meal in Paris but at least I know when I come back to avoid this place.More
Just a tourist trap and a waste of money. My son wouldn't even finish his plate. Uninspired service and grossly overpriced. Stay away.
