Excellent small restaurant in Pont Aven. Reserved a table in the morning for the evening and although fairly empty at the time of arrival, by 8pm the restaurant was full, so we were glad we bothered to pre-book. The menu was a fairly short affair,...but this was good because everything was cooked to order and local produce. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and ambiance of the restaurant. The service was very friendly and courteous. Would recommend for anyone looking for good standard of French cuisine and good friendly service.More
Excellent food, really well presented but we were not made to feel at all welcome by the female (head?) waitress so it impacted the experience unfortunately. The young waiter and waitress seemed rather embarrassed by her behaviour, she had made a mistake with our booking...and I think this made her defensive. We had travelled to Pont Aven to dine and there was no apology from her or desire to find a solution, that was left to the excellent young waiter who served us!
We also saw her being abrupt and rude to other customers, so I don’t believe it was personal!
So all in all excellent food but that doesn’t excuse making paying customers feel uncomfortable, hopefully she will read this and reflect on what she might do differently in future.More

We walked past the restaurant and looking at the menu, a passing man said in English "It's very good - you should try". We wandered around the village (it was lovely) and as there were so many restaurants, came back to this one. It was...an inauspicious start as I felt the (les Anglais) glare from the waitress, and all the tables were formica - I think there was even formica on the walls, so it felt a little like a leftover from the 60s. However, when we sat down (dog allowed) I realised that in fact there were tons of antique bric a brac - amazing lamps, pictures, objets etc. We ordered the set lunch... and it was fantastic. Not huge, but everything delicious. It must have been towards the end of the sitting as the the proprieter/chef came out and chatted to those at the remaing tables and her puppy dachsund was let loose to play which was a joy - our basset joining in the fun. Quite a special place.More
Not your usual tourist restaurant, more a foodies paradise.
Port aven a beautiful artist colony
lends itself to this artisan delight.
Fantastic warm service with good English ( my french not so good). Helped us through the wine list and menu. Not a vast choice...on offer but all offering something different. langoustine ravioli, sea bass , foie gras , beautiful steaks etc . Olives , bread and table water at no extra cost. Best cafe creme I’ve had for a while. In and out door seating . Dogs welcome . Great little place , very much a hidden gem .More
Les Trois Buis is a small, casual restaurant in the center of Pont Aven with very good food. For appetizers, we split a delicious smoked trout with toast points and crème fraiche and salad. My wife had an excellent langoustine ravioli with langoustine sauce while...I had a roasted bacon loin with broccoli and a lovely cauliflower purée (Note: do not order this if you do not like a lot of lard). For dessert, we split a wonderful apple crumble. A lovely Rose nicely complemented both main course dishes. The service was very friendly, helpful, and timely. Note: in Brittany, it seems to be the rule that there is only one sitting so the table is yours for the night.More
Reliant totally on Tripadvisor reviews and the enticing fixed-price lunch menu outside - we couldn’t find any website for the restaurant - we called in to book a table for two for a couple of hours’ time after we had explored the lovely little town....The food was absolutely superb, the service friendly and smiling. Wholeheartedly recommended.More
