Simply huitres aka oysters. Fresh and friendly served with a bottle of wine on the side and sein bread and butter. You get a simple vinaigrette and some lime and you are ready to go ! Can not go wrong. Great staff and do not...forget to cuddle the house cat !More

This was an interesting and very tasteful experience. Sitting outdoors close to the sea at low tide eating a very good mixed serving (in a fishing boat) of oysters, crevettes etc.

You won't get your seafood any fresher than you get it here. The oysters are fantastic (so my husband tells me - I am not a fan), the prawns are fantastic as well (those I did eat myself ;) ). Everything is supremely fresh -...as if it were caught five minutes ago. Add to that the charm of sitting straight near the bay, having a glass of wine (or water ;) ) and feeling the wind in your hair - and it just doesn't get more perfect than this.More

A peaceful setting, with a lovely outdoor seating area overlooking the water. The shellfish was fresh, beautiful and delicious. The staff were friendly, helpful and really made us feel welcome. Buying oysters to take away there was also really good value. The muscadet sur lie...was delicious!! Definitely recommend this place.More

My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting Les Huitres Cochennec today and could not recommend it more highly. After a really warm welcome we enjoyed oysters, prawns, clams and whelks on the outside terrace whilst watching the oysters being farmed right in front...of us. It is a rustic and beautiful setting with very reasonably priced (and very high quality seafood) and really friendly service. We will be visiting again before we return to Sheffield. Fantastic!More

Tucked away by an obvious working house there are some lovely little benches overlooking the bay at this family run establishment...also seating inside. Nice touches of decoration around the place and brilliant place to sample the produce. Mostly the deal is oysters or other shellfish...with a drink, for which you will pay less than restaurants, slightly more than just a normal stall but definitely worth it in my opinion. The oysters and the wine we had were beautiful and it was all we could do to stop ourselves going back and back again. We had 9 oysters and wine combo which also comes with two types of dressing if you wish and bread and butter for approx 12€ The gentleman who looked after us is clearly a large part of the operation as he was working with the produce and his face is over the family van etc. he was brilliant, so very friendly and made the experience just that much more enjoyable. If I’m the area again I will definitely come here again for a snack. Loved it.More

We cycled here with our 8 and 5 year old after reading reviews on Trip Advisor and what a find! We're not oyster lovers but Mr Cochennec was more than happy to provide an alternative - a platter of fresh prawns, bread, white wine and...cordial for the kids. Simple, fresh with the view of the estuary in the sunshine - bliss!More

We are definitely oyster lovers and have eaten them in many places on different continents and can only admit that these served by Serge Cochennec and his family were top. For a price that in a restaurant would maybe get you 4 oysters, you get...a serving of 9 with some bread (not the most fresh but who cares?) and a small glass of wine. Yes, the glass is small but in a typically French way, the bottle is half way anyway and left on the table. The owner and family are most friendly and clearly enjoy being complimented but rightfully so. These oysters are simply top and so are the palourdes. I do not usually exaggerate but if you did not stop here while in Carnac, you missed something.More
