We have heard amazing things about this place but it exceeded all expectations. The cheesy chorizo crumpets were one of the most amazing things I’ve ever tasted and the service was extremely friendly and fast. Will 100% be returning as this is our new favourite brunch spot!

Took son out for late brunch on a Sunday. Unfortunately the cafe was very busy and we had to queue for a table for 40 mins but our son assured us it’d be worth the wait. Staff were friendly and kept us informed as to when a table would be available. Once seated had further wait for food but our annoyance was soothed by the manageress who was very professional, polite and reduced our bill to apologise for the wait. Food was definitely worth waiting for.. delicious

My partner insisted we go here after seeing a load of posts on Instagram and we weren't disappointed. She really loved the biscoff pancakes, whilst I felt pressured by the pushy waitress and ended up with a full Irish breakfast (it is very popular and I think they just want you in and out quickly) It was okay but not amazing for the price. That said, it is a nice venue and everything was good. I wouldn't personally rush back here but I certainly won't dismiss the opportunity of coming back.

Very slow service, average food, annoying tables, expensive, wish I'd gone to 'spoons. I'm not fancy and I enjoy a cheap Wetherspoons breakfast most of the time, but the 'spoons nearby was dingy and scruffy (more than usual lol) so we came here instead, expecting to pay more but have a nicer experience. We were served quickly but then it took at least 15-20 minutes just to get a coffee, food arrived not long after. The food was a bit bland. I had the chorizo and sweet potato eggs benedict but when it eventually arrived it was covered in thick chunky onions! I don't mind onions but I ordered chorizo and sweet potatoes, the menu didn't mention onions, what if I was allergic? Minus the onions though, it was bland and I had to cover it in tabasco and salt to get some flavour. My girlfriend had salmon and poached eggs, she didn't enjoy it and her eggs were cold. The table arrangement was bad and when 2 young girls sat on the table that our table was backed up to, I kept getting hair wafted in my face whenever she moved her head so I had to pull our table out a foot or so. Our table also seemed to be in a service black spot and it took forever to get someone's attention to get the bill... Which came to over ÂŁ25. I don't mind paying for a fancy breakfast, but when it's no better than a greasy spoon I do mind. I would've enjoyed a fried egg sandwich more than what 19 Cafe served me. Maybe it was an off day. It seems like a popular place and was very busy when we left, but based on this experience, I wouldn't go again.

Waited in line for about 15 minutes just watching staff ignore everyone. We was seated outside which was fine. Then the alarm bells started knives and forks put on the table which were filthy and covered in grease, so we got them changed. Then our tea came out asked for sugar which was cubes and could see everyone has had hands over them so skip that. Then the breakfast came out one looked nice but the full English was cold beans zapped in microwave and look like they sat there for a while the egg was cold and sausages tasted different bacon was still squealing but said to the other half not eaten anything so gonna eat what's the worse that can happen. We asked for tomato sauce which came in a little dish with traces someone had used this. So we paid up and head off to the football museum 20 minutes in started rushing to the toilet cold swet being sick. So left there and back to the hotel where we stayed all day and night missing soccer aid due to more throwing up Thanks guys

i’ve been to this cafe twice now months apart (sept 21-march 22) both times the food was delicious and friendly service so overall a great trip. however, i ordered the kinder pancakes both times and the difference between them was crazy, whilst i appreciate chefs change etc it was nowhere near as impressive as the first time around, bit dry and lacking in sauce etc, despite no change in price. My mum ordered the same breakfast both times which had also declined in quality quite a bit (you can see her meal in the photo) be prepared to wait a while too if you go during prime time for breakfast, 11ish seems to be a relatively good time to go as it’s not quite as busy. overall a lovely gem in the NQ just a bit disappointing to see the difference in only a few months

Fantastic breakfast, great coffee, reasonably priced. Lovely service, everyone friendly and attentive. Ham Hock Benedict was plentiful, and eggs cooked to perfection. Tremendous latte topped it all off. Not much to do with Granola, but they combined a roasted flavour with honey and natural yoghurt which is really, really distinctive and different. All servings well portioned. Thank you to staff. Minor con: Table was a little wobbly. Could do with a wedge or two for some of them!

A splendid establishment fit for the fine dining lords of Tuscany. I was presented with a bountifully fatted plate of salmon, eggs and spinach wilted in the Tuscan sun. Would I recommend this cafe to the general public? 19 times yes! The meal was washed down delightfully with a Bloody Tuscan Mary and, let me tell you, what a splash! 10/10 - perfection

We ate here as a family after a night out in town. Greeted by lovely happy friendly staff. The menu is fab! Had a delicious coffee & ordered bacon & maple pancakes, smoked salmon, avocado & poached egg bagel, & 2 vegan falafel. Wow fantastic! The food arrived quickly and was freshly cooked and delicious. Mine was the falafel everything about it was lovely. I ate every bit! My daughter had the pancakes which were huge and she had to have some help to finish them off!

I’ve been to 19 Cafe Bar a few times and love the food, cannot fault that and the staff are very friendly - however, I went last weekend on my birthday with 3 friends and had to wait 1hr10 to be sat down. I expect a wait when coming here as they don’t take bookings, however one thing that really upset me and another table of 4 behind us was when tables of 4 were becoming available, staff were seating couples of 2 down on these tables (there were 2 couples of 2 in front of us who were both sat on a table of 4), meaning our wait was longer as we weren’t pulled forward from the queue to be sat at the correct table. But, after that, two tables of 2 came available and staff then went outside to pick out parties of 2 to sit down??? It was making no sense, and us and a table of 4 behind us were really unimpressed by this. If you’re going to pull people from the back of the queue, do it for each table size. In future I may have to rethink my brunch location because of this which is a massive shame. You’ll lose out on a lot of business if this continues.

Visited with my partner & dog (when I asked if I could bring my dog in the batista said "of course!" like it couldn't possibly have been an issue :D) I had the Sweet Potato Benedict which featured halloumi & sriracha hollandaise which sounded quirky.... It was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I will fondly remember this meal for a long time :)

Visiting Manchester and had read amazing things about cafe 19 bar for fantastic breakfasts , pancakes , French toast and eggs Benedict… and we wasn’t disappointed- seated quickly it was even de that this place is popular, nonetheless the team of servers on the floor and behind the counter and in the kitchen were fully in control of the customers needs. Attentive, friendly, chatty and professional while attending to each customer quickly as efficiently . We ordered different meals to enjoys as much as possible, along with a round of hot and cold drinks. The food was presented beautifully, each plate of food was hot , a good portion size and so tasty. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite and will definitely visit again on our next trip to Manchester. Staff commented that they are a small independent business and are refurbishing soon to be able to accommodate more guests and provide more washrooms ( currently one available for all guests including those in need of accessible access).. we can’t wait to see what Cafe 19 bar looks like next time we visit as the interior right now is fabulous, smart and clean. 100% on all aspect hence the 5 star rating …

My husband & I had breakfast here in July and were really impressed by the genuinely, friendly service and delicious food. It was also lovely and clean plus good value. We had two full English breakfasts with an iced chai tea and iced latte. Everything was cooked properly and with care and attention using good quality ingredients. Would definitely recommend!
