Ate breakfast here today, disappointed having to pay extra for black pudding on a £12+ breakfast AND £2.50 EACH to share a tiny pot of tea. No idea what all of those new potatoes were doing on a full english nor the little indistinguishable pucks...of brittleness. The full bill came to an astonishing £39! The service was great however and the food came quickly, but the quality of the food was far from great and the value was poor. But i had a £25 voucher which bought the cost down considerably. Great vibes, great sausages, but the rest is distinctly lacking.More

Booked for a Sunday dinner as Ive always wanted to try it but when we arrived, they had sold out and unfortunately they didnt have what we ordered instead and were only told after waiting a long time and I waved a waitress over to...ask a question… the staff were really polite but think there wasn’t a lot of communication so we ultimately left and had our drinks comped. Disappointing first experience although wouldn’t be put off coming again..More

The drinks were good. We ordered two different chicken burgers. When they arrived they looked exactly the same and even the waitress couldn’t really tell them apart. The coating on the chicken tasted slightly burnt and of old oil. My gochujang chicken burger didn’t have...the glaze that was mentioned on the menu, no picked cucumber and no sriracha Mayo. The chips were ok though. They also said they’d run out of vinegar for the chips. The music was really loud and the alarm kept going off. Not the best experience I’ve had.More

Bit grubby these days. Gents toilets all blocked and smelly, no soap or hand sanitiser. Staff friendly enough but food served cold and drinks served in warm glasses. Plenty better options nearby for the same or better price.

Prebooked 6 weeks in advance (after multiple attempts on multiple platforms), table for 10; arrived (on time) offered a booth set for 10 - good job only 6 of us were there! The place is very basic if a bit tired looking and cleanliness didnt...seem to be a key consideration - even the windows were filthy! Drinks order taken quickly and drinks were good; food choices on a fairly small menu were also limited as several menu items were not available. Between ordering food and getting it, no less than 3 members of staff came to tell us we needed to vacate the table we sat down at at 8pm, by 9pm because they had a private event on and needed to move us on (none of this mentioned at time of booking). Food started to arrive but much of it was cold, chicken burger fillet overcooked (filing breakingly hard crust!), the rest was mediocre at best. We’d also been told that bar would serve til 9pm - tried to order drinks at 8.45pm but were refused. 3 staff passed the buck to ‘a manager’ before we eventually got the attention of someone who could resolve things. The only positive of the (brief) evening was that they took all food off the bill and reduced the cost of the drinks.More

Took forever for them to serve two breakfasts. One came with an almost cold poached egg. They forgot my partner’s egg completely and her black pudding was rock hard and completely inedible. It was obviously not freshly cooked. It because the menu looked great. We...did complain and they were very apologetic and polite, refunding 50% of the food bill.More

Went for breakfast, but the coffee machine was on a go-slow, coffee, when it arrived (sometime later) the cups were small. We asked for tea whilst we waited for the coffee to be presented with two tiny teapots between four people! The food was ok,...but I think they are trying too hard to be different, Hot sauce in maple syrup why?? Hash brown, more like flat discs of compressed potato. Service was ok. Not for me.More

We went here for a meal and drinks before a gig next door - had a grilled cheese sourdough and the Gorrila royale chicken burger. Both were absolutely delicious washed down by a Laid Back gin cocktail and a Peroni. Ice cream and sticky toffee...pudding for afters - all very nice. Service was good and relaxed - friendly and no rushing us. Our waitress was being trained up and another member of staff kept an eye on us to make sure we were being looked after, which was good. Would thoroughly recommendMore

We popped in for drinks, and stayed for lots ! The bar staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the cocktails were lovely and well presented. The bottle of wine also went down a treat. We would have stayed for more, but had a table...booked. We would return.More
