I ordered food from the counter, so my food came first. My mother-in-law's and sister-in-law's came ten minutes later, and my other sister-in-law's didn't come for close to half an hour later. We had all eaten our food by the time hers arrived as she...More

All the food here is fresh and tasty with a slight Scandinavian difference. From the sandwiches to the cakes, everything is fantastic but especially the cinnamon buns. Served warm with a steaming cup of loose leaf tea, there is nothing better. With friendly and welcoming...More

Amazing food, always. Our favourite cafe to take our family and friends, and a place our children are catered for very well. We always look forward to a treat and visit at least twice a month, if not more. I would recommend to anyone.

My husband and I have been lucky enough to come here for years. The food is always excellent, the coffee is delicious and it is dog friendly too (though sometimes feels a bit too busy to take in our lump of a golden retriever!). Even...More

I’ve been here a few times before, clearly not at peak times and have previously really rated the food (still do). Also love the restaurant service once you’ve ordered - always really pleasant staff. However, the system for initially serving customers is a shocker. It...More

Hi Amy, Thanks for visiting Baltzersen's and also for your review. I'm sorry that you didn't have a great experience on this occasion. We're currently going through some staff changeover, which is not an excuse and is entirely our challenge to manage, and clearly things...More

Hi Gemma. Yes, we’re a dog friendly cafe. We just ask that if your dog is uncomfortable or disturbing other guests that you take the necessary action to remedy that. Regards The Baltzersen’s Team.

Hi Kirsty, I’m afraid we don’t take bookings at Baltzersen’s. We offer tables first come first served and we’d get you seated as soon as possible. If you’d be interested in a champagne brunch you can book that with our... More

Baltzersen's is a Scandinavian inspired cafe and bakery based in the centre of Harrogate. We bake all of our own cakes and pastries from scratch with cinnamon buns being our most famous bakery product. We serve breakfast, brunch and lunch with our traditional waffles being a particularly popular choice all day and for an afternoon tea. We brew coffee using our bespoke blend from North Star Roast (Leeds) on espresso and single origin filter coffee from Maude (Leeds) on blue brew. Teas are supplied by The Tea Experience based in Doncaster. Our milk is from award winning organic dairy farm Acorn Dairy. We are child friendly, offer free fibre WiFi, free chilled filtered still or sparkling water and you are welcome to bring your dog too. We hope to see you soon. Regards Paul and the Baltzersen's team.
