I have gone to the Porterhouse a few times for food in the past and was never disappointed, it wasn’t ground breaking pub grub but was pleasant. I wish that was the case the last time I went, it was like a comedy of errors,...More

Food was overcooked, kids menu said mini burger and it was the same size as the adult one and overcooked ( burnt black in parts). Credit card receipt showed a higher prize than actual bill, certainly not a place to eat!More

I'm not much into craft beer, but there are exceptions to every rule! This is a nice lively bar with friendly efficient staff. Worth a look. The food is good too.

From outside you may think this is a small, trivial pub. Once you stem inside, you realize that this place is huge. I don't only refer to square feet of floor space, I'm referring to quality, beer selection, atmosphere and history. This is one of...More

Great description of our pub, thanks for the top marks.

As the name implies, this pub is definitely "central" in the city, located across from Trinity College on the edge of the tourist area. The pub brews their own beers, which are very palatable and enjoyable. Their Brainblasta, a higher alcohol darker ale, was my...More

My wife and I met some Dublin cousins at their suggestion at the Porterhouse -Central Dublin. Located near Grafton St, the place was full and boisterous on a Friday night. Initially told that "it would be a half hour plus wait for a table" the...More

Firstly, the second we sat down, the waitress was straight over to ask what we wanted to drink before we even opened a menu. We kindly asked for a moment, expecting her return imminently, but this was sadly to no avail! 15 minutes had passed...More
