The minute you step inside Glassy Central Bar & Grill you know you have entered somewhere special: from the elaborate mirrored decor to the plush velvet comfy spacious booths and seats, to sitting at the bar area gazing at a very well stocked bar, you feel spoiled for choice ............ and you still haven’t viewed the food menu.
The menu is exceptionally priced for in town dining, the 2 course lunch menu is well within people’s price range for a cheeky lunch in town.
When we visited ( 4 times now since recently opening) we enjoyed the Central mix for 2, served on a sizzling platter and accompanied with the lightest nan bread I have
ever tasted , not forgetting the glass of cold cobra beer that was on offer. The Central mix is usually my go to meal as I love the variety of meats offered namely, chicken tikka, seekh kebab, chicken thighs, lamb chops , chicken chaat and tandoori chicken wings . I usually enjoy a curry sauce to accompany the platter and not once have we been able to finish platter due to the amount of food , but that’s not a problem as Hari , the manager offers to pack it up for us to go , no food
wastage here.
The al la carte and lunch menu caters for vegan patrons as well as people with certain allergy’s , all you have to do is ask your server and they are very obliging and put you at your ease.
If your passing by and have limited time, It’s an ideal place to pop in for a cold beer and pakora whilst watching the many tv screens situated around you .
At weekends they have a DJ to play tunes whilst you chill out sampling the many delights Glassy Central has to offer.
There is a private area that can be used for small functions, that shares the same luxurious detail and service.
The staff are attentive without being overly, Hari is always in the background ensuring your experience is first class.
The toilets most certainly deserve a mention: they were spotless , well positioned, airy and well stocked.
It’s such a pleasure finding a restaurant that ticks all the boxes, great for families , couples as well as being ideally located in Sauchiehall street.
We intend to visit Glassy Central and sample the many dishes that are on offer on the menu : we do not live locally but are happy to travel knowing the quality of the food and service are excellent.

We first visited this restaurant in October and returned today for another delicious meal. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and plush seating makes an immediate impression. Hari, the most friendly and knowledgeable front of house person ever, made it easy to negotiate the menu and ensured great service. The food was delicious, probably the best curry I've tasted!! This place deserves to be patronised more and anyone who enjoys good food at very reasonable cost should give it a go.

Customer service experience is on point, food is just to die for you want to visit twice a week like me! Food is prepared very fast but professionally, not rushed for the food to taste off, it’s amazing and brought to you on time with piping heat and smoke off the freshly grilled main courses.
Once you have finished the delightful food, you can accompany yourself with a huge variety of alcoholic beverages, from rum to cognac, vodka to a cold beer!
The ambience and settings within the restaurant/bar gives you a luxury feeling with the plush velvet seating and glittery bling decor. Not so tacky but subtle.
This is a family friendly restaurant/bar and a place for couples to dine at.

Beautiful little hidden restaurant on the high street, down stairs in the basement, colourful decoration, loved the both style tables, comfortable and spacious for the 4 of us. Staff was very warm, welcoming and accommodating, service was very quick once we placed the order, most of us went for the set menu that included a few different choices of starters, main curry and a side, also included vanilla ice cream for dessert. Manager was attentive and came to our table where he explained the ingredients to some of the dishes, very affordable place, great value for money. Good experience.

I’ve tried this restaurant a few times and found the menu to be excellent at very reasonable prices. Food we’ve had has been delicious and service is prompt and friendly, ideal venue for a pre theatre or film dinner. They have a decent selection of vegetarian dishes. Can recommend the prawns with spinach.

My partner and I popped in here for some last minute dinner. It’s on sauchiehall street but a little hidden down the stairs.
The food was delicious. One of the better veg pakora’s I’ve had in Glasgow recently - that way where they’re fresh and you can tell each ingredient rather than a stodgy solid. Good poppadoms. Spiced onions a little more minty than to my taste.
Similar to the pakora, the naan seemed fresh and with proper toppings, no pastes.
The mains were tasty, extra spicy as requested. We had Achari chicken and South Indian garlic chilli chicken. Portion sizes aren’t massive but it’s priced appropriately, consider ordering an extra main to share, or a couple of extra sides if you have a big appetite.
There were a couple of issues with our order getting mixed up, felt like teething issues with a new place, and they fixed them all when we mentioned it. I would imagine that’ll all get sorted fairly quickly.

What a tremendous find this place is courtesy of seeing it appear on a Wowcher deal.
Have tried most Indian restaurants in the city centre but this place blows them all out of the water. Absolutely stunning food.
We had a voucher for 3 courses for 2 for just under £20 which was excellent value but in fairness the standard prices on the menus are already very reasonable.
For starters we had chicken pakora (excellent) and chilli chicken( one of the best starters ever) and mains South Indian garlic chilli chicken ( mouth watering ) and chicken karahi ( stunning)
We asked for Naan well fired and it arrived as we asked and was amazing .
Hospitality was great and staff extremely friendly and appreciative of your custom.
Brilliant restaurant and more folk need to know about it.

This place has such a lovely atmosphere and incredibly kind staff! The food came out very quickly, and was DELICIOUS :) I went with one of my friends and we both ordered the 3-course meal for £11.95 each (available everyday from 4-7!!) Perfect amount of food for such a good price. Will definitely be back!

We went today with friends and family and had the most wonderful meal. First off the price was amazing but the food was stunning, freshly cooked authentically flavoured and soooo good, their nan bread was the best I have had and their dishes all tasted amazing. The staff we very attentive and catered for our little one too, they were so friendly and nothing was beyond their ability. I would thoroughly recommend this hidden gem in Sauchiehall Street you won't be disappointed. We will certainly be back.

Ate a chicken tikka curry. Food was excellent and was brought out to me quickly. The server was very polite. I thought that the meal was well worth the price: I paid £12 for a good portion of food which I happily finished but left me satisfied for the rest of the day.

5/5 the full experience was brilliant service was fabulous food was absolutely incredible.
For a quick lunch with the work girls turned out to be one of the best place we have been.
I enjoyed lamb bhoona was delicious meat was so tender and all accompanying sides were brilliant, can’t recommend this restaurant enough £13 for 3 course and a drink that includes leaving a tip for the fantastic staff.
It’s a must visit when looking for Indian food.

We had went to Glassy house restaurant last night for the first time and it was amazing, I can honestly say by far it is one of the best restaurant we have been too,myself and partner were blown away from the quality and deliciousness of the food to the presentation and most hearfelt warming welcome we had received by all the members of staff that we came into contact with, it had just made our night. You will not be disappointed. For the restaurant being very city centred based the prices are fanominal for what you recieve. We will be returning again very soon with our friends and family and can't recommend this restaurant highly enough, overall experience was just fab.

Staff were really kind and helpful, explaining the menu. This place has great vegan options which i have found a issue with other restaurants, i was surprised at how many options i had, the aesthetics of the restaurant is very classy and inviting, you can see great attention to detail has been made with the design and the staff make you feel welcome, we were well impressed, and will be back again soon! Prices were also very reasonable especially for the high quality of the food. i would highly recommend!

This was the second time we had chosen this restaurant. The first time was for a family lunch in January just before we were going to the pantomime at the King’s Theatre. It is very close to the theatre so it was an ideal choice, and we would do this again for other visits to this and other theatres in Glasgow.
Both the lunch and the dinner we had were excellent. All the food was of great quality, and the cost was extremely reasonable, and great value for money given the exceptional quality of the various dishes.
The staff were brilliant, so friendly and welcoming, and lovely people.
Would highly recommend Glassy Central to anyone who loves excellent food at an extremely reasonable cost . We will definitely be back
