This is a regular place for me to have an early lunch when I visit Edinburgh and this city is my favorite on earth! No cheap but very consistent with loads of atmosphere. Food is excellent and I really go for the scones and tea....More

What a fabulous place! A real gem on the Royal Mile. Vintage decor and a calm, classical music soundtrack give the place a lovely oldy-worldy feel; we could have stayed all day. The cakes and bakes on offer were truly delicious and there was a...More

Came here this afternoon for cream tea and disappointingly I would not call this a traditional cream tea. The scones were dry and more like a shortbread biscuit. So crumbly it wouldn't cut nicely in two and just broke apart easily. It was not fresh...More

Lovely, quaint tea room. Delicious food and treats, speedy service and many tasty teas! Might have to share a table but its not the end of world and you can still be private if you need to. Bring cash only! ☆Wonderful experience☆

On the day of our visit, service was prompt and friendly. Although small, our party of five were comfortably seated to the rear of the tearoom and enjoyed buttery scones, tea and coffee. This was a welcome reprise from the grey, cold streets outside. The...More

We visited this tea room which is very congested . You have to share your table with others. There is limited staffing so be prepared to wait. Cakes and scones are displayed on dresser in the middle of the cafe, not covered over so are...More

Great cooking, cosy place, not to expensive, a little bit of history. Very, very, very good soups and cakes. And i like this idea of shearing a table when is busy. I visit every time when I go to Edinburgh.

Stopped in here for a small snack with my friend after walking back for Hollyrood Castle. A nice little room. Found it very chilly even when sitting by the radiator. Also found it hard to get the attention of the girls doing the serving and...More

Had a blast with great teas and wonderful scones, salmon sandwich and cakes at this old fashioned place. Recommend highly and about half the price of those fancy places.

An olde worldly feel with lots of atmosphere. A great selection of cakes and treats. My carrot cake was absolutely delicious. But my coffee was lukewarm so watch out for that!

We were there today and expected afternoon tea. As far as I could tell they have tea, they have scones, but they do not have what in my mind is afternoon tea.... three tiered service with little sandwiches, scones, etc.
