The whole atmosphere of the place is very inviting and cosy, the food was amazing too. When you get to your table, you're given complimentary bread and olives with a candle already lit. The food was excellent and the waiter was very helpful, and made...sure everything was okay. Overall I'd say you can't go wrong with this place. Helpful and inviting staff, excellent food and a cosy atmosphere.More

I visit here a lot and always enjoy the experience. It's a great atmosphere and a wonderful team with tasty authentic food. The team has handled the government's restrictions admirably to create a safe setting for all without losing any of the charm. Thank you...Matteo and team.More

Had a lovely three course meal cooked to perfection. The lamb fell off the bone as the fork got close to it. Filling soup of the day and ice cream to finish. Polite friendly staff following covid guidelines. Well recommended to all and cant fault...anything. The chef came outca couple of times going round all the tables asking if all was well.More

Three of us had lunch here at Buonissimo on Saturday 3rd Oct. We all ate from the set menu. Soup and two bruschetta followed by sea bass and two chicken. Food was very well-cooked. Chicken was especially moist. Nice ambience, service very good, very friendly...waitress and good social-distancing measures in place. Great value. Would not hesitate to return and am likely to do so when next in Harborne.More

I went to Buonissimo yesterday night and it was just perfect. It's not first time for me but I am happy to say it keeps satisfying my appetite. I chose from the early dining options and i was very happy, merluzzo and pappardelle were perfect....I really cannot think about any other place that with £19 gives you such quality food, could you? Service was good and I was even able to eat outside. how lucky! PS: for all the limoncello lovers, forget about it. Amaro del capo is the new fashion ;)More

Absolutely delicious food and fantastic service! I realsied this morning that my (tipsy) mental maths means I may have under tipped so thought the list I could do is rave at what a splendid evening we had. Everything is clean, staff are attentive and friendly,...and the food is just delicious and full of flavour. Will absolutely be going again.More

We’ve been coming to Buonissimo for over 20 years and it’s always been reliably good. Not this time though, sadly. First of all the tables were much too close for comfort, less than a metre from the people on the next tables. The starters were...excellent, but main course very ordinary. My fillet steak was perfectly cooked but the sauce was very bland and the veg very dull, although cooked well. Not what I’ve come to expect from here. My daughters Arancini was equally bland with an overly sweet sauce. Desserts were equally disappointing, my lemon tart was a soggy sponge base topped with what seemed like the filling from a lemon meringue pie mix. Pistachio gelato tasted really heavily of almond essence, very unpleasant. I’m so saddened by our experience as this used to be such a great place.More

With the current situation my wife and I wanted to try a local independent restaurant to try help out. Glad we chose this place, staff we're great, really attentive without being too obtrusive. We decided to sit outside and the heater was appreciated towards the...end as it got colder but the setting was lovely. Food was cooked to perfection, really flavoursome and could tell then ingredients were fresh. I had the prawn risotto and my wife had the arancini balls. Both excellent. We also had two starters and two drinks. Worth the £65. Thanks, we'll be back soon.More

Probably a little late to reply, but this is not a wheelchair friendly establishment due to its steps stairs and narrow spacing between tables.

They seemed to have a number of pasta options on the menu that you can have without meat if you ask. I thought the service at this restaurant was outstanding and I am sure they would help with whatever you ask pfr if it's... More
