A wonderful cosy old world, wonky floored traditional boozer in a world of stainless steel and mirrors. But it doesn’t serve food! 5 star pub. 0 star food. Why do people review it here?

Great beer, lovely fire and friendly staff. Enjoyed the atmosphere of this old school pub. Completed by old boy reading his paper in the corner as he nursed his beer.

Without a doubt the best pint of beer I can ever remember having. I simply can’t remember drinking better beer fresh from the cask.

Beer from the barrel and jug, cellar cold Bass, no frills and great chat! Loved it! The pub is a wonderful trip down memory lane to a time when a pub was a place to meet people, enjoy real beer and sit in a cosy...More

This is your quintessential old-fashioned drinking hole where you can always rely on a decent pint of Bass and a nice cheese and onion role. Great atmosphere to, would thoroughly recommend.

This pub was a tip from out bike tour guide, and we loved it. Great real ale served by a friendly barmaid. Great prices and a very cosy and traditional pub. There are not many of this kind of original pub left, so I can...More

Great pub with well kept beer and real character. Will be a must for me every time I stay in Bath. There was a real friendly ambience in the pub that is mostly used by locals.

I came here for a drink yesterday evening after work and was immediately reminded of what a real star this pub is. Original and authentic. Turn the clock back. Delicious bitter straight from barrel. Please don’t change this!

Go down Lansdown Road and turn left into The Paragon. The Star Inn is a little way along on the left hand side.
