From booking, through to leaving the restaurant, the staff at Delrio's were excellent, helpful, polite and efficient. The meal was outstanding, full of flavours and simply the best Italian we have tasted. The seafood starters (prawns special and mussels) were delicious and the sauces that...accompanied them and the main courses, were so tasty. We both loved the home made cheesecake and imported Italian Gelato. The only disappointment was that we were only in York one night and couldn't return. I treated my wife for a few days in York for her 50th Birthday and to coincide with our wedding anniversary I booked this restaurant on reviews,on booking I received a confirmation email,when we arrived we were told they had messaged us to say they...couldn’t do the time I’d requested but on checking all my emails I’d received nothing,the lady told us they were fully booked and couldn’t accommodate us,we’d walked 30 minutes and her attitude was awful,arrogant and belittling,I’m not the kind of person to make a scene so we just left and ended up just finding somewhere to eat,very disappointed and let downMore

Tried Delrio's after asking a local for a recommendation for a traditional Italian. We definitely weren't disappointed. The food was absolutely gorgeous, the staff were fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable...and the atmosphere was perfect.
