Fantastic marketplace food in Shambles — very welcoming and friendly team who run the van. The portions are plentiful and always delicious, a wide range of options to choose from!
Just literally popped in for a quick bite. Lovely flavours and great ambience in this place. Will hopeto be back with a few friends soon
Lots of good things to say about this place but ultimately the burger patty - the most important part of the meal - was a fail. Service good and friendly. Took a while for my burger to arrive but it was cooked fresh so that...is fine. Good size burger, generous helping of largely tasteless cheese. Lovely fresh brioche bun. But the beef? Tasted like cheap supermarket burgers. Texture slightly rubbery, no meaty flavor at all. It’s a large burger for sure but at £8.50 from a street stall, I expect to get good quality meat. I could have closed my eyes and I would have struggled to tell you what meat it was. There is a cheaper stall just down the road. A lot cheaper £3-£4. I skipped it because I wanted good quality. Shame. I might as well have gone there. The katsu chicken fries looked good though.More

The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious and reasonable priced for the extremely generous portions that you get. If you are wandering through the shambles then this is a must.
We stopped by for some dirty chilli fries. Decided to share a small portion & so glad we did as the portion was huge & more than enough for two of us! Really tasty, fully loaded fries with chilli con carne & spicy cheese. Can’t...recommend enough, didn’t get a photo as we just ate them!More
Wow, pretty much sums up our experience today! We ate lunch by the Taylor Made Kitchen mainly due to the tripadvisor recommendations when looking for places to eat whilst staying here for a fussy tween. I liked the ordering system which was quick so we...didn't have to queue, then we were buzzed when our food had been freshly cooked. The food and portions were amazing, the menu was varied with interesting flavour combinations and I know that it would be my husband's preferred place to eat had he come to York too. Generally we don't do 'street food' but very happy to make an exception for this place.More
Stumble upon this place by pure luck! Only arrived in york a couple of hours ago for our anniversary weekend We had being walking around town for a while and founded nothing that we both wanted then we happen outside this gorgeous street food stall....Delicious food extra friendly staff what more could we ask for! Definitely a must are the Pizza fries and the Cajun chicken burritos!!More
Myself and my partner ordered some large Katsu fries thinking it'd be an ideal size for a snack for two people. We were handed a huge portion of fries with the crispiest chicken on top, Katsu curry sauce, sesame seeds and crispy onions. We couldn't...finish the portion between two of us it was that big but we gave it a good go! Definitely worth the money and we'll be back again next time we're in York to try the other fries.More
My twin brother Stephen and I planned to visit five pubs in and around the magnificent Shambles so we thought it prudent to get a filling meal into us and located in the heart of the Shambles was Taylor Made Kitchen . A great food...truck,we studied their menu and we both opted to have spicy fries and a beef burger ,service was quick ,we grabbed a bench and munched through our fries & burger meal. Burger was awesome,a juicy burger, delicious filling, fresh tasty buns and the chips were to die for ,all in all a really tasty and filling meal which was just what we needed to set us up for the pubs we planned to visit,it's easy to locate along Silver Street in Shambles and is most definitely well worth seeking out if you're in the area.More
