The food and service was excellent, but I have knocked this one down in terms of value for money. You can get a comparable meal only a few hundred metres away near Paddington Station at about 75% of the cost. This place adds a compulsory...More

Really good food. We highly recommend it! The crispy batter is perfect, and our waitress, Paula (i think), was incredibly helpful. Thank you so much

Hobson’s not only has tasty traditional fish and chips, but the menu includes grilled fish and even gluten- free selections.

Based in the reviews I went for lunch with my teenage daughter when in Paddington, on Wednesday. We ordered cod fish, calamari and potatoes chips. They came with two little cups with sauce ( sweet chilli and tartare). We appreciated the freshness of the fish...More

The grilled salmon with salad, whilst on the pricey side, is the best! Staff is always very friendly. I would highly recommend.

Went to Hobson’s based on reviews and they were all right! The fish & chips were excellent and the restaurant had a lovely chic, clean vibe to it. They prepare their fish from the beginning of the search for it with great thought and it...More

This was a good start to our trip in London. Had a great experience. Fish was moist and flaky and the breading was crispy. Thoroughly enjoyed.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic fish and chips here. The breading is light, the fish perfectly prepared...moist and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. We also enjoyed the onion rings as well. Solid showing of a familiar favorite...you won’t...More

Dropped in today with my wife for a quick lunch. Had table service at the back. Clean, light and pleasant surroundings with friendly staff. Maybe I've been away from London for too long, but I was pretty shocked by the prices. 1*cod+chips, 1*haddock+sweet potato chips....More

Somewhat overrated and overpriced but with good friendly waitstaff, this is a decent place to get fish and chips though it didn’t strike me as particularly “authentic”. The chips have to be ordered separately and were somewhat undercooked.

At Hobson's we are committed to providing our customers with the very best traditional fish and chips. We source fresh fish only from sustainable resources, delivered to us daily from Billingsgate Fish Market. We only serve the traditional British chip specifically selected for its taste and texture that we peel and cut ourselves. We prepare and fry our fish and chips separately in pure vegetable oil (not containing animal, hydrogenated fats or additives).
