A must do at Borough market. Skip the overpriced seafood suppliers in the middle who charge £3 an oyster. Richard solely focuses on oysters and has great value selection such as 4 “medium” oysters for £5. The oysters were huge and very fresh.

A stop at this stall is always planned in when visiting Borough market. They have always been fresh and very tasty! This weekend went for a combination of Mersey rock medium and large size oysters. There are limes, lemons, gravies and some types of Tabasco...More

Visiting Borough Market early one morning to beat the crowds, stumbled upon Richard Haward's Oyster Bar. My goodness, we are so glad we did. We haven't had Mersea Island oysters for many years and they were just as wonderful as we remembered. Super fresh, shucked...More

Interestingly, the family has been farming oysters since the mid-eighteenth century. Buy your oysters here and you can also sit at tables reserved for Richard Hayward’s customers to slurp up your oysters. Currently they are into their seventh generation of oysterman and this in itself...More

Very reasonably priced fresh oysters to tempt any oyster lover here. Good variety and the freshness gives you the impression that you are eating it straight out of the sea! Just a dash of lemon juice and it's Perfect!

Gem-of-a-find in a cold wet day! Really value for money. No frills bar table gastronomic pit-stop. First introduction to oyster for my kids and we had seconds!

I often enjoy large rock oysters (£24 for 12) with a bottle of sparkling wine (£25). Great value and perfect quality. Normally I enjoy the oysters as starter.

For the fattest and freshest, don’t bother with the pomp n ceremony of Wright Bros, just get in-line for delicious meaty sea creatures and slurp em into yr belly. Also good to know they are shucked by a great crew of folks. I’d say it’s...More

$10pounds for 8 medium rock oysters. Super cheap!!!!! They are all so fresh, the restaurant provides many kinds of sauces for you to go with the oysters. Very down to earth place with the best oystersss in the market!

Extremely reasonable! I believe the 'set' Glass of wine & four medium very meaty Oysters is £10 or you can simply mix and match as per your desire. I usually eat at an Oyster and the equivalent would likely cost me on... More
