Unpretentious iconic local cafe where full English breakfast, snacks and more substantial meals are freshly cooked to order. Tasty and in generous portions, Service is cheerful and swift. Excellent mug of tea too.

Wanted to eat here since seeing Layer Cake 20 years ago, was not disappointed. Fantastic breakfast at a reasonable price for central London. Marco was a pleasure and the service and produce was top notch.

We read the reviews prior to coming here and we had high expectations that did not dissapoint! If you are after a true English fry up this is the place. The line was out the door but doesn’t take long to get a seat. We...had the full English and sausage and chips, both were delicious. The cup of tea was also a proper strong English brew! Reasonable prices, about 8 pounds for full English with toast and tea. Will definitely return next time we are in London.More

Enjoyed an excellent breakfast at the Regency Café, a London institution for over 75 years. Bacon, sausage and egg with a slice of toast were cooked to order. All very good, especially the bacon. I got there very early so there was no queue, which...there usually is later in the day. Very well priced. RecommendedMore

The Regency is a local breakfast place with phenomenal food and massive proportions. The staff are great - but quick to remind you, get your food first before sitting. This place gets packed quick with locals. We were fortunate enough to find a table (on...a Tuesday at 10am!) I would eat here daily if it were an option. So good!More

Highest quality friendly diner - offering great food, the best cheaps and top dollar value. Particularly when othet places have larded their prices or worse serve you half a plate of food. Britain would be a far happier place with 100 more family owned diners...like this.More

An absolutely amazing place. Don’t worry about the queue, it’s the sign of how good this place is, and also goes down really quick. We went for breakfast and it was amazing. Proper mugs of tea, thick white toast and hearty food. The owner and...his staff are fantastic! We’ll definitely be backMore

Great breakfast place. We went for the full English breakfast. They have a breakfast deal that has the basic breakfast. I added black pudding and bubble and squeak. The coffee was excellent. This is like a local diner. You order at the counter THEN HAVE...A SEAT. Even with a long line it works perfectly. By the time you order, a table is cleared. The food comes quick. They call out what you ordered and you go get it. I highly recommend this place at least once in your trip . We were in Paddington. Instead of taking the tube, we took a cab. It was around £21 with bad traffic. Cab driver was surprised we knew about it. Don’t pass up a chance to eat hereMore

The second time I've been to the Cafe. I had some bacon and egg with toast, washed down with orange juice. Very nice and at £6.95, a bargain.

Had a great time at this place with a real English breakfast vibe. My husband and I both went for eggs, sausage, and beans - classic! I threw in a hash brown and a tea, and he grabbed some toast and coffee. The guy behind...the counter, an English bloke, was quite a character - straight to the point and no fuss. Really added to the whole vibe. Definitely worth a stop if you're around!More
