The restaurant is in a unique setting and has a fun and relaxed vibe. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was delicious and portion sizes were very generous, overall great value for money.

Went here tonight fir a Mothers Day treat and I can't speak highly enough of it! The two ladies that served us were super friendly, the restaurant is so cosy and welcoming, and the food...proper Philly Cheesesteak with a side of Tater Tots....delicious! Can't recommend...highly enough. Already booked back in for MLB weekend in June :DMore
Great , friendly service and great piec of American. Decent food and beers and not unreasonable prices. Big shout to the staff and the Shibu in.
Four of us visited for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The service was friendly and helpful. The food blew my socks off. I had the quesadilla starter with chicken and, oh my goodness, it was bursting with flavour. I doubt I have tasted anything better...in a very long time and I wouldn’t hesitate to order that again on my next visit. We cannot wait to go back and I highly recommend this venueMore
Passyunk avenue - Nine elms Embassy Gardens, is our new favourite thing! The cheesesteak is superb and the ice cream sandwich is sublime! The vibe is great and the bar staff/servers are awesome - particular shout out to Paulina who goes above and beyond in...their service! We’ll be back again soon!More
I visited the Leake st branch and ordered the Philly cheesesteak with wiz. It was the best cheesesteak outside of Philly and it was nice to chat to the staff who were actually from Philly - I have been many times as my brother lived...there for some years. Downside was it was outrageously expensive. £24 for a a sandwich and a bottle of beer- only reason it’s a 4 star review and not 5.More
Delicious food, the wings were amazing. The cheesesteaks melt in my mouth. The baseball net kept my son busy. He loved the Dr Pepper float. Definitely recommend
I treated my wife Sandra to a belated Valentine’s Day at Passyunk Battersea, and what an adventure it turned out to be. Admittedly, I had forgotten it was Valentine’s Day, hence Sandra’s frosty demeanour the past 24 hours. Apologies if you were the waitress that...was on the receiving end of this. Nevertheless, Passyunk managed to put a smile on her face. Well sort of. She was still pretty annoyed that I had forgotten but hey ho. Our usual choice of Philly cheesesteak nachos was vetoed by Sandra in favor of the beef quesadillas, a decision that didn’t quite hit the mark for me. In hindsight, I think she may have done this on purpose. She can be quite spiteful sometimes. It was at this point that Sandra decided to start telling me about her Zumba class and truth be told, I completely zoned out. This obviously didn’t go down well! To fix things (again) I ordered some picklebacks. As awful as they sounded, they were an absolute delight. They even put a smile on Sandra’s face because up until that point, she looked like she’d been chewing a wasp. For our main course, we indulged in buffalo chicken wings and sampled the new addition to the menu: chicken fingers with ranch dip. These honestly proved to be some of the best we’d had outside of America. The highlight of the evening however had to be the amount of big screens they had showing various American sports games. I even got chance to watch the Super Bowl highlights. A personal win, considering Sandra no longer permits me to stay up for the live broadcast, citing that the lack of sleep makes me irritable to be around. Overall, a delightful visit, earning Passyunk a solid 7/10.More
Ever since we’ve been to Philly we are always on the lookout for great cheesesteaks anywhere else. So far these are by far the best we’ve had (outside Philly of course). The place is fully of memorabilia too and other food is delicious as well….mac...and cheese, buffalo wings etc. We will keep going back every time we’re in London.More
The food here was delicious, and the beer was refreshing and cold. There was a good variety for our family of moderately picky eaters.
Cool experience venturing through a graffiti covered tunnel to get to the location. Food was good quality but starters and main came att at once so kinda felt overpowered by food. Friendly staff and unique interior. Overall 7/10
Visited the one on Leake Street by the graffiti tunnel. I lived in Philly for many years and this is very close to the real thing! I now live in Maryland and haven’t found a place there that does them as well! Cheese sauce is...possibly just a tad thinner but delicious. For reviews that complain about the meat being too fatty, they’ve obviously never had a Philly cheesesteak. Took off a star because it was a tad expensive— £16 for a cheesesteak with no sides is a bit high and the frozen fries were not worth £5.More
We have visited Passyunk Avenue twice for American holidays and Thanksgiving will be our last. The Thanksgiving platter sandwich was gristle-filled and we were charged an extra £2 for a second micro-cup of "blue cheese dressing" (for the chicken wings) which was watery and barely...passable as blue cheese dressing. I ordered the cookie for dessert which was quoted as £2.50. Instead we were brought two desserts and each had added ice cream which was quoted as an additional £2.50. We refused the second dessert and when the bill came they charged us £6 for the dessert. Apparently £2.50 + £2.50 = £6. The IPA was decent but not enough to make up for the nickeling and diming that goes on here. Not worth the price for the so-called American dining experience.More
As a native Philadelphian, I was so excited when Passyunk Ave opened. I have craved eggplant parm hoagies for ages. However, when it came, it was a jumbled mess of eggplant sauce and cheese just kind of mkxed together and put in the roll. It...was not appetizing to look at or eat. My companion and I enjoyed the Old Bay fries.More
The food is exactly how you expect it to taste, great food, great people and great dive bar, highly recommend and will be coming back!
