We had lunch here during a day tour we were on around the Cape. We had the beer battered hake, the mussels, and a burger, and it was all very delicious! The atmosphere in the garden is eclectic and fun, and there was a musician...playing guitar that was fun to listen to while we ate. We would definitely go back again if we could!More

Lunch here (late morning - still breakfast menu being served) was very disappointing. My mother's buttermilk scones were over-baked and rock hard, as were the slightly better baked replacement ones. Although we were not charged, it is disappointing to see such poor food being served...on a major tourist route. The waiter did a fine job, and managed the situation politely and calmly - well done to him.More

Really lovely setting and friendly staff, unfortunately not allergy-friendly despite what is stated on the menu. Ordered a yellowtail on the braai, and even with specifying allergies present, it was basted in sauce I couldn't have, and the only side that was offered that I...could eat was a green salad of lettuce, tomato and cucumber - which cost a hefty R120. Wonderful place if you don't have allergies with a great setting, but not allergy friendly :(More

Camel rock is a wonderful restaurant with the most relaxed and comfortable atmosphere that I’ve ever experienced. Their staff remain professional yet hold an extremely welcoming friendliness. Their waitress Abbey and Thoks made my visit much more enjoyable than I could ever have imagined, with...their friendliness and wonderful service. I highly recommend giving this place a visit.More

We had an awesome sunset evening at the Camel Rock, Friday night, Mexican Fiesta. The food was delicious and the cocktails even better, lots of fun to be had, the restaurant was full of families enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. Our waitress, Shannyn, was extremely busy...and still managed to provide an excellent service, making us feel very welcome. We definately will be visiting again before we leave Cape Town. Thank you for a wonderful time.More

Decided to have a catch up with old classmates. Went to Camel rock after a drive along the ocean ended up in an unfamiliar location I didnt know existed after living in Cape town for 15years+. The welcome at the door was from a waitress..., with beaming eyes of friendliness behind a mask , went through the usually strainous procedures normally irritating but made light of by the humour of the waitress. She introduced herself as Priscilla and led us to a table. Seeing we were exhausted to even open menus , she recommended the scarbru draught that is brewed by one of the locals and we had a Priscilla pizza that is coincidentally the lovely waitress's name. Well baked base with fresh ingredients, we ordered one more and our potato was perfected. Will definitely come back for such hospitality on a normal sit down meal.More
