Cool music with a jazzy feel made me feel very relaxed. Cool lighting. Nice ambience. Kitchen shuts at 10pm weekends. Will need to try the mussels and get here earlier. Professional staff. The Cumberland has recently been renovated and inside it feels a million times...better with comfortable seating.More

Comfortable, friendly service, excellent food and no rush to finish. We stayed chatting for ages. We couldn’t have asked for more.

What a wonderful restaurant. Great atmosphere, surroundings and staff, food was excellent, hot, great flavours and plentiful. I can't wait to visit there again. You should definitely choose to eat here.

Afternoon tea was small and overpriced. Even better, we found some sharp plastic in our food. The unhelpful manager offered us 30% off for our troubles

Visited the Ventana Grand Cafe today along with 2 friends. Our first meal out together in such a long time and it really was lovely. The staff we exceptionally helpful and we’re very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The food was nicely presented, very...tasty and such a calm atmosphere within the room. The decor throughout the hotel is very stylish and interesting, my friend commented that it felt like we were on a cruise ship! Although the weather was a bit cloudy today the space by the pool would be a very enjoyable spot to eat when the sun is shining. Would definitely recommend.More

Firstly- support this Café- it has now reopened! I had an amazing time there- I was sat by the pool and it was the perfect way to spend a weekend. Really amazing food presentation and delicious ice cream and fish and chips. So nice to...be out and about doing social meet-ups again and eating out again. All the best 🙂 I’ll be back!More

We visited here just before Christmas and wanted a quick sandwich lunch in the lounge area. Signage said table service so we sat as instructed and although staff wondered around, we couldn't get anyone to take our order. So I then went to the bar...and stood there until someone finally came and reluctantly took the order. The food was good but the process to get it was sooooo frustrating and staff seem so miserable and unhelpful. We will go back as it is near our holiday home but be prepared for a long wait and grumpy staff.More

We ate in the restaurant whilst staying in the hotel. We had been out all day felt too tired to go out so we thought we would give it a try. What a great choice. The ambience is lovely. The food was excellent we had...a starter and a main course but were too full for a dessert. The staff were great again polite, professional, efficient but friendly. Would definitely eat here again and highly recommend.More

We had a lovely lunch for my wife’s birthday. Food was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant is great. The whole experience was made a wonderful experience by RODRIGO who went out of his way to look after us. He is a credit to...the hotel and clearly enjoys what he does. Thank you Rodrigo for everything you did, we will definitely be back and very much hope you are looking after us on our return.More

My friend and I had lunch here today, taking advantage of the 'Eat Out To Help Out' scheme the Cumberland Hotel is still operating on early week days. We were very impressed with the precautions taken, plenty of hand sanitizers and our temperatures were taken...and mobile numbers recorded. The food was excellent, we had a starter and a main course each but had no room for a dessert. Wine is expensive. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxed and the service attentive but unobtrusive. The only niggle we had was the seating - in 'bucket' type soft chairs which we found too low for the height of the table and giving no support. When we mentioned this to a member of staff the seats were changed for ordinary upholstered dining chairs which were very comfortable and far more suitable.More
