Spur Needs more Abongile staff .

The service received from Abongile jas is staying right into Lunch . If we can have more staff like her , the company can only go from strength to strength. For the first time my breakfast was hot , she was on top of things . . Double Five star for this young lady ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

BEST STEAKS AND SERVICE IN CAPE TOWN

In the past two weeks I went for a steak three times. The first two times at well known steakhouses, I ordered a medium steak, only to get a well done one! Today I ordered a medium again and receive a perfect cooked one! The service was also excellent, while the manager and owner threat you like a friend, rather than a customer! I'll definitely go there again!

I didn't espect much when I went to the spur, but it was even worse that what I was expecting... When we arrived, we had to wait almost 30minutes to be attended and that someone come to take our order... We had to ask three times to clean and sanitize the table. Then, the food arrived eventually. I asked for medium rare, it came medium++... One of the staff was friendly and tried to assist as much as he could, but there was obviously a lack of staff... When, at the bill, we gave a small tip, the waitress was very upset and didn't even greated us... Only if you have no other option...

Me and my friends went to watch the Joe Barber Anniversary show. After the show they wanted to grab a bite and we opted for Spur. Wow the waiter was on top of her game... we had a lovely time... Spur really lives to their motto " spur a taste for life"

God day, I have visited your restaurant before and had such a wonderful experience, but yesterday was disappointing. Unfortunately couldn't emailed my review my phone's battery was dead, but i wrote on the invoice. The veggies were cold and the spinach was not properly rinsed and the pumpkin or butternut was very dry and carrots tasted like left over food. The waiter was super nice but forgetful, there was not cutlery on our table, we received the food and we had to call for the waiter to get cutlery.

For some reason, the tables in a Spur restaurant are always sticky. Again i found it here. I did ask the waitress to clean the table twice before it felt a bit better. The Buffalo Wings are still the best and tasty. For the wings I will keep visiting Spur restaurants. Spur is also a bit pricey for a family visit.

Def. Change.. The griller did an excellent job. We had the bacon, guacamole, grilled chicken on the burger menu.... the chicken was grilled to perfection... the bacon done with care... yes a most definite visit...

……….14 Oct 2018: - This has always been our first choice of “Home away from Home-Spurs” right here at Grand West Casino & Entertainment World! Besides the many Spurs that we have frequented around the country over the many years of travelling, this is the one that for a long time was closer to home! Also when we want to make it special we come here! We are on a first name bases with most of the waiters & waitrons! We get treated with respect and most of all we have our private pew that every-one knows about. With most visits we get seated in our regular spot and its like been at home where you have your favourite spot at the dinner table! Because everyone is all smiles and pleasantness it sets the right mood for our favourite Sunday morning breakfast just like we like it and like the title of the song “Easy like Sunday Mornings” The new bright-lii décor of the resent revamp also grows on one, gone are all the cow-hide seats and old-school décor in with the bright and shine-ii, real-lii makes the place look so big and room-ii! They even have a few new-bee’s on the menu for breakfast which we are about to try out today! The one that catches the eye and the taste-buds is the “Kick-Start” which is a toasted home-made bread with bacon-strips, an egg, and cheese sauce topped with spurs famous onion-rings with a hash brown! Another new one is the “Banana-Bacon on French toast sprinkled with maple syrup! Mmmm!? A bit sweet for breakfast though? But the most delicious one is the Ranch breakfast: eggs, bacon, wors, steak, mushrooms, chips & toast! And don’t forget the after breakfast treat been toast & jam! A nice way to end an insidious-lii delicious meal on a Sunday morning! The Ranch breakfast is always a killer breakfast to keep one going for the day! The ambience at this Spur is always cool and home-lii! It’s a monies-worth experience here every-time!............

Ideal meeting place during the week

The service was good and once the staff realised that it was a business breakfast, they stayed away until needed. Food was good and the orders were all delivered as per request. The establishment could do with adding a few power points for those needing to charge laptops or mobile devices. but then again, that would be of minor importance

Father's Day Dinner at our Home away from Home!!

........We have not visited here for a long while and the only reason for this is that the Chinook Spur is only 4 minutes away from home! But today been Father’s Day we decided that we will visit here again and i must say we were taken aback by the neat revamp that this place has had in recent months, the place is bright, colourful and even the seat and tables are revamped, very delightful only downside is that it looks like all our usual waitrons are either gone or off-duty! Never-the-less Emanuel was a delight to have around waiting on us, he was efficient and pleasant and food as always is good here at our home away from home! We tried the special 300g of Ribs served with 3 full basted chicken-wing, chips & onion-rings! Mmmmmmm-h good! And for the ladies as most times Nachos with a portion of calamari & wings(wings a bit too dry) but the good Nachos made up for it, it was once again good to be here and we will always come back here for a memorable occasion like today been Father's Day!!!
