Read the reviews, not true at all...honestly ..prices are exorbitant x 3 and not equal to the quality expected .French cuisine ?Absolutely ,a no ! Doubt if Old Ducky will survive more than a few weeks in Europe.South Africans expect more from you.
Always a favourite.. a quaint spot - lovely decor, friendly service & great tasting food ! Love the Duck , the steak frites , mussels , prawn shooters & more ! Make sure to book , as it’s not a very large restaurant and always...busy .More

A wonderful venue, we celebrated my Mums 80th birthday today, with a magnificent lunch. The food was superb, highly recommend the steak tartare! Service and ambience also fabulous.
What a fabulous review, we are so happy we could help make your mom's 80th special. Thank you for the support!
This appears to be a fantastic breakfast spot. It was certainly full all the time we were there. Very nice menu, and great coffee. Unfortunately, my food was fridge cold! I ordered a bacon and egg croissant, expecting to receive a sort of bacon and...egg sandwich, using a croissant instead of bread. Sadly, the egg is not of the fried/poached variety. Instead the egg is a chopped boiled egg and mayonnaise mixture, and in my meal, it had come straight from the fridge and was VERY cold. I send this back, and it was fairly promptly rectified.More
We are so sorry for the mistake with your order, and happy to hear that is was immediately rectified. Thank you for your feedback.
For a birthday celebration, I highly recommend this unpretentious, relaxed restaurant, that serves delectable French-inspired food. Sublime starters, marvellous mains and delicious desserts ensured that all 12 of our guests were full of praise. The staff were gracious, kind and professional. It brought joy and...a hearty laugh when the 70 year old Birthday Boy was served a complementary slice of cheesecake, plus a yellow rubber ducky!More
Elizabeth what an absolutely delightful review, you truly made our day. It was an honour to host your birthday celebration, and we are so happy to read this fantastic feedback.
First time eating in this cafe and our experience was ok for the following reasons. The atmosphere was missing the intimacy and charm. Too many staff standing around and too quick to clear away plates when as a total we had not finished eating. The...food was ok but I would expect a little more quality for eg the pate was gelatinous and not authentic pate, warm with warm toast. The lamb lacked real spice and bland. Maybe have a warmer welcome and educate the staff more re dishes and cuisine. Don’t rush guests and ensure a more calmer yet rich atmosphere. Bring a little bit of Paris to Pinealopes.More
We value your feedback, thank you very much for taking the time to write this review. Yes our intention is too truly bring a little bit of Paris to Pineslopes!
Staff very friendly, food was excellent, tasty, French cuisine at its best. Restaurant a bit noisy but it was full. Priced reasonably
Keith thank you for this fabulous review, we truly appreciate your feedback!
Delightfully eccentric, Francophile eatery, sequestered delicately away from the churning entropy of urbanity. From the mise en scene tiles, mismatching plates, to the eclectic canards found atop each table the ambience is transportative to a jazz enthused Paris. The food elevates one and imparts the...sense that what the French do well is the simple but it is teased through a lens of artistry that lends a prosaic vision of the simple delights: butter, flour, and salt.More
What an absolutely delightful review, thank you so so much, we truly appreciate it!
Great place to have brunch ,full lunch or dinner . We have been here many times . My personal favourite is duck pie and the lobster soup . Open sandwiches are nice as well . Great place and fantastic ambience !! Cheers Tanmoy

From the time we walked in our waiter was on point. The almond hot chocolate was delicious. The beef stroganoff was deliciously creamy. The carrot cake was moist and delicious as for our tea...we will definitely return. It was fabulous!
Larce thank you so muc for this gorgeous review, we look forward to your return visit! 🦆
What an amazing birthday treat with special friends who are more like family!! The food was out of this world. My chicken liver starter was divine (should have ask for some of that chilli to take home 😁) , the duck breast main was delicious....My friends also were raving about the mussels and the fillet. The staff were absolutely amazing, very well trained and alert to our needs througout. Marina is an absolutely fabulous owner and hostess. Surprised me with a stunning piece of birthday cheesecake and my own personal rubber ducky to take home😊. Thank you for making my day so special. Will be back many times for sure.More

I visited this restaurant late April for a quick breakfast of Frenchman Toast and coffee. Delightful food and surprised by an extra half slice of toast. Hosts Nicholas and Marina were attentive and the coffee was hot. A lovely place to go - I have...booked for their regular Parisian evening which is apparently lovely.More
Ian thank you so much for this stunning review, we are most grateful! 🦆
Since covid hit we have found that alot of our favourite restaurants have really deteriorated and quality has dropped, so to have found this little gem has brought happiness back to my taste buds. Loved the overall restaurant theme, from the decor, waiters attire and...even the manager dressed the part. Service was on point and every single thing we ordered could not be faulted. Cannot wait to try the lunch menu next. Keep it up guys. Well done.More
