The restaurant is placed on a busy road, but there is ample, free, off-street parking. The space is clean and the staff are friendly and efficient. The food however could be much more appealing and tasty. We had breakfast and the muesli was not at...all exciting, with almost nothing in it. There was minimal fruit, but the yoghurt was great. The portion size was sufficient. The sandwiches were fair, and could have more taste to it. There were no muffins available but they do have a small range of delicious looking cakes. The latte was really bad, but the freshly squeezed orange, ginger and carrot juice was fantastic. The place has potential to do a whole lot better with its good location and excellent staff.More

Sitting at this restaurant with a friend and am completely shocked at the pathetic service. Food served ice cold. Passion fruit and lemonade without any lemonade😳 no coffee as barista had stormed off and no one else knows how to use the espresso machine😳😳😳 very...disappointing. Will not return.More

Only 2 other tables but they couldn’t seem to get order right! Asked for a plain salmon bagel. Even pointed it out on menu. First they brought me a croissant with eggs telling me that was my order. Then a breakfast bagel with eggs, avocado,...mainly greens and 2 thin slivers of salmon on one edge. They insisted that it was the correct order even when I pointed out the constituents to them on menu! Eventually had to get the manager who agreed they made up the wrong order. The chai latte I received was mainly just frothy milk with a hint of spice! We left. Never again.More

What a superb find! Pearl spoon is a small, intimate, beautiful restaurant. Right at the door a selection of awesome cakes greet you. The chicken mayo is anything but ordinary. It is a beautiful blend of subtle flavours expertly combined. Highly recommended

Went to the claremont branch for a quick lunch with a group. Granted, the place was quite busy but it's also small so 'busy-ness' could be a bit deceiving. We waited a bit too long for the food but i put that down to it...being a busy saturday afternoon. Plates were nicely dressed and looked appertising but that being said, one cannot eat 'the look'. Some kids had fries which you really cannot fault so that's fine. I opted for some grilled fish, gurnard was suggested and me being a sustainable fisherman gladly accepted. What i got though was a small piece of frozen (not fresh) fish which also tasted like the bottom of a bait box. Totally put me off. I settled for the fries and some sauce.More

Both branches are outstanding and offer something different. The branch in rondebosch is one of our favourite breakfast spots and the one in obs dinner and desserts. Decor is classy, food prep and layout very good and taste and service match up. One of my...most highly rated outlets in town.More

In Cape Town it's rare to find a halal restaurant which gives attention to the finer details. This restaurant has a lovely interior, good food which is beautifully presented and reasonable priced. Service, although not excellent is ok. Also has good coffee.
