Me and husband wanted to do a quick breakfast date and ended up trying out tashas in the V&A waterfront and we definitely didn’t regret our choice as the breakfast was so delicious and filling, really worth your money. The waiter was very kind and friendly even the other staff came to check up on us as it was busy, also we literally just waited about 10mins for our breakfast and everything was fresh and warm. The restaurant is so cozy and beautifully decorated. Would definitely recommend if you looking for a lovely spot to have a bite when in the V&A Waterfront . Would go back anytime.

The ambience was great, the restaurant is situated in a very accessible spot in the mall, and all the Covid protocols were followed. The menu was contactless with a QR card placed on the table. We had a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The tapas were tasty and mostly generous portions, except for the chicken livers. We highly recommend the squid heads, avocado salad and shoestring fried tapas. The very generous panko fried hake portion was very good. However, the accompanying chips was terribly disappointing and the peas very ordinary. Although the churros were long and thin, they were still raw inside. The espresso and Americano coffees were very good. The waiter responded to the questioning about the flat white with a prompt replacement. The positives outweighed the negatives and the service was friendly and efficient.

Our experience at this Restuarant can best be described as “indifferent”. One has the sense that one is on a service conveyor belt - albeit a pretty slow conveyor belt. It was fairly early on a Sunday morning (about 9am) and the place was not full. Maybe personnel are tired after a busy season - and it shows. Tashas seems to believe that with franchise processes in place the rest will simply happen. It lacks any interpersonal contact. This is the first negative comment I have placed on Trip Advisor. Will I return? Not if it is my decision.

We have been loyal customers to Tasha's since it opened in Pretoria. Today was a special day and we drove 150km for lunch. Luckily, we got a table very quickly but within minutes all changed. The unbelievable noise and lack of service immediately came through. We realise that it is crunch time and a holiday season, but that does not excuse bad service, something we never ever had at Tasha's. A table outside opened, and we could move. The food came and NO, what happened. Presentation was always the main factor apart from the excellent quality we are used to. Burger was served even worse than the Wimpy. Salad done in a very small bowl, extra chicken that pushed up the price, were 5 small slithers. Lemon chicken were dry pieces.... sauce very bland. I would really urge Tasha's to go back to the excellent service and presentation that we as loyal patrons so much enjoyed. The competition is uge and I do not want to NOT GO BACK....Please revisit your initial service and food presentation as your tastes are still on par.

I had dinner a few nights ago and ordered a Caesar salad. I was appalled at what was served as a Caesar salad. Masses of damp spinach leaves, a few unappertising croutons, an extremely hard-boiled egg, limp cucumber and the most tasteless of dressings, including mayonnaise. A traditional Caesar salad has crunchy lettuce, anchovies, freshly made croutons and is dressed with lemon juice, olive oil, a raw egg, which I know a restaurant can't use, but could have had some gently boiled quails eggs and loads of grated Parmigiano reggano. This had crude shavings of some hard cheese, might have been Parmigiano. Sloppily put together and a crude helping. I am a discerning diner and didn't expect such a poor show.

The restruant was beautifully designed and was very busy. We browsed the menu and the options all sounded great. However when we got the bill, I was a bit taken aback that they charge tax additionally rather than included in the food price...we ended up paying more than we expected and couldn't find anything on the menu or website about the additional charge. Tax is normally inclusive of the displayed menu price. Despite this we enjoyed our meal and the service was OK.

I've always loved the food at Tashas, and have been to quite a few around Cape Town and Johannesburg. But on this visit, it was disappointing. On arrival, I walked in, and found an empty table, and sat down. A few minutes later, a waitress come to come and tell me that the table was reserved for some other guests, and that I must wait in the queue at the door to be seated. There was no queue at the door, and no one stopped me when I walked in. Anyway, I eventually got a table, and my friend and I ordered 3 different tapas to share. The portions were actually very small for the price, and even though we enjoyed the taste, we were not happy with the tiny portions. There were a few different waiters who served us, but service was slow and confused.

Very dissatisfied! We wanted to try our Tashas as it is a well-known brand. We got seated quickly without hassle. Upon ordering a beer, my partner asked if nuts were served with it; why he asked this because, working in the service industry overseas, nuts are always served with beer. Ok, in SA, I understand they won't do this. The point is, the server denied they don't serve nuts. After five minutes, he bought a small bowl of nuts for us without informing us that it would be on a chargeable basis (based on standards of service - I would think he would tell us). So gladly, we ate the nuts without knowing it would be chargeable. R40,00 was charged to us unthinkingly without any information. We fought not to pay the R40,00, but we did because we didn't want to make a fuss. How the floor manager (Zandile - not sure if I spell her name correctly) handled the whole situation is beyond my scope. She was only defending the server and not listening to what we had to say about how the problem should have been handled. She had a lousy attitude reflecting on her as she blamed us that we costumed the nuts. Yes, we ate the nuts without knowing it would be chargeable. I do not know how she handles the restaurant if she's not willing to listen and understand customers. Poor performance by her and poor attitude. She needs to be trained in how to work in the service industry. Won't be returning again!

Warm lovely day at the Waterfront so what better place to have a healthy lunch. I chose the zucchini pasta with napolitan sauce, crispy fried mushrooms, capers and olives. Came with the cheese grater. Enjoyed a freshly squeezed orange juice, got my Vitamin C fix for the day.

The day was very busy with ques which lasted 10 mins. once seated, you have to wait for your waiter and all this has a ripple effect to the presentation of the bill - BUT the place is worth all this. The food, the service (despite the chaos) is great. everytime am in Capetown i have breakfast there.

The server’s were welcoming and accommodating, the atmosphere and interior design were enchanting…. Unfortunately I had a poor experience with my meal. There was a white paper like substance beneath my eggs (which was wet and appeared to be chewed), the placement of the white substance sat under my (yellow) scrambled eggs which appeared intentionally placed. I informed the manager and he proceeded to gaslight me, and tell me it was egg whites, after he took my plate to the back for his own personal examination no proof or intent to clarify. In the end I didn’t not pay for the meal, but was highly disappointed. Will NOT be returning.

This is one of our favourite Tashas restaurants. It has a great location and we have never been disappointed. They staff are very attentive and well trained - always on the ball. My Caesar salad with chicken was excellent and my wife had a steak cooed to perfection.

Just right... we had been recommended to visit Tasha's and were not disappointed. Great service, attentive but not over bearing. Food was delicious and my daughter had a steak sandwich which could have fed all of us... healthy portions! Loved it and would definitely recommend.

Let down by their Salmon, go somewhere else for seafood. We stopped here because our son insisted ... it was very dissapointing. My son ordered a hot dog which he enjoyed and even asked for another one to take home. Sad that his takeaway was packed without chips.

So we arrived, entered Tashas halfway down we were called back to take our temp and details. Eventually passing the coffee machine area, the barista was having a good scratch in his ear. One of my favourite spots, so disappointing to see. I did report it, and left.
