The bacon was cooked from frozen and burnt. The bread was burnt. The burger patty was burnt and dried out completely.

We were attended to almost immediately after taking a seat, must admit that they were not extremely busy. Our waitress was very friendly and her service was 100 %.The Carrot cake they are serving is absolutely delicious but the servings are just a little bit...toooooo big. Maybe a smaller piece of cake at a better price. Will for sure visit M&B again. Thumbs upMore

The restaurant was not too busy at all! We waiting 20 minutes before eventually calling a waiter over. We then waiting a further 20 minutes to receive coffee. Extremely unfriendly staff. No interest shown at all in our table. The toastie was cold bread and...fries undercooked. Eggs Benedict was cold and eggs hard as rock after asking for medium. When we said something to the waiter, we got a dirty look and that was it. Will definitely not be back! Far better mugg and beans in Northern Suburbs to visit.More

I met a friend there for lunch. Before we could give our food order the waitress calmly walked away. I called her back and asked her to please take our food order too. She told me to wait she is coming now. The place was...empty so there was no need for her to rush off. When we ordered our food and it came, it was not good. Undercooked fries and bread sandwich, not toasted. We called the manager who apologised even before we could say what was wrong, so my guess is he knew the non standard food being presented. He then took it away and later our food came. Bread was toasted, fries cooked but the filling now was bare so still non standard. I don't settle for below standard food. So please, if you are truly hungry, this ain't the place. I have inserted pictures for you to see. The middle one is second time around. I know I wont go back.More

I love Mugg & Bean, it is one of my favourite eateries. However, the Mugg & Bean in Cape Gate Mall was a disappointment - unfriendly staff, waited a very long time for my food even though the restaurant wasn't very busy, and by the...time the food came, it was cold. I will stick to other Mugg & Beans in future!More

After a 2 hour flight from Johannesburg, I accompanied my grandchildren to the Cape Gate Mall to see a children's show. We were early and went to Mugg & Bean for breakfast. A great relaxing environment in a very busy Mall! Waiters were immediately attentive...and provided menus as we sat down. A few minutes later our drinks orders were taken and a short while later our food order. All orders were delivered together as requested. Food was very tasty. Will return should we ever visit that Mall again.More

A very popular coffee shop with quite a big variety to choose from. Service is not too slow, due to the amount of people that must be served. Prices fairly good. Their Cappuccino's are divine.

Yes it used to be one of my favourites but having a owner or manager complaining where customers are sitting, getting tables moved and lined up all around us is hardly nice. Food was good. Service lacked because of tables that was skew???

Like all the others, you are never disappointed. Food is more than enough. Anything from light meals to a complete and full-on lunch. Service not too slow. Clean and neat. Open and inviting.
