Thank you for your positive review. We would love to have you back in the future.
We booked and visited to enjoy a hearty lunch at Bruno’s. Our party of six enjoyed respectively a beef burger (home-made patty made from heritage Karoo beef), crumbed kassler chops, a lamb duo with Rogan Josh curry and riblets, and lasagne. Also on the menu...that I would like to taste next time are the bobotie or lamb pies. Generous portions, fresh ingredients, friendly service albeit a bit slow during the busy Stoep Tasting wine festival. But it was worth the wait. Ideal for hearty Karoo dishes.More
Thanks for your review. We appreciate your feedback. Hope to serve you again in the future - and also with a bit more speed.
Hands on owner. From the moment you walk in it feels like home just better. Very friendly people. Fantastic Pizza!!!!!!
Thank you for your kind review, we appreciate it. And so happy to hear you loved our pizza. Hope to see you again.
Bruno’s has been associated with pizza since the 1990’s – when Bruno Reolon opened it. It has seating inside between white washed walls, or outside. Mostly pizzas are served, with a garden salad, desserts & coffees as extras. A “Karoo Tafel” or table, is served,...but requires a reservation. The plant based, lamb curry and anchovy pizzas are my favourites – thin crusts and wood oven fired. The Karoo Tafel offers a hearty Karoo dinner with fresh, local ingredients, including dessert. Ideal for a relaxed Karoo dinner.More
Thank you, looking forward to having you over for dinner when your next in Nieu-Bethesda
Breakfast was served at Bruno's. The table was beautifully laid with a name tag. The meals were well presented and very tasty. Service was very friendly, bilingual and prompt.
Its feedback like yours that make being in the hospitality business worthwhile.
Strolled around town and into Bruno’s for a late lunch. We weren’t disappointed by our pizzas. Fantastic thin and crispy bases. Explored the fascinating underground cellar while waiting for our food.
Thank you for your kind review, it is much appreciated.
If it's open for business, go and try their pizzas - really better than most RSA competitors - cold beer and a cosy fire in winter.
Thank you.
This is the place for pizza - with seating inside between white washed walls, or outside seating perfect for summer evenings. Mostly pizzas are served, with a garden salad, desserts & coffees as extras. The plant based, lamb curry, Thai chicken and meaty (soutvleis &...salami) pizzas are best. Toppings are generous, crusts are thin and crispy and these Karoo pizzas are served with loads of fresh herbs. The owners visit each table personally and service is friendly. Ideal for the best pizza!More
Went for lunch - good Pizza - Beer could have been colder - service friendly - setting good. :-) Nice atmosphere :-)
The best pizza I've ever had... is what my daughter said when she just had the Margarita. I must agree with her and we all had different pizzas and they we are all fantastic!! The lamb curry was sublime and Thai Chicken magical. What a...hidden gem in the middle of this magical little dorp.More
Crisp, thin based pizza with local ingredients toppef with fresh herbs. Fantastic to find delicious, professional pizza in the Karoo! Our party - all from big cities, agreed that it was the best pizza we have ever eaten! I loved the anchovy pizza, although the...lamb curry pizza as well as the seasonal gammon pizza were also favourites in our party. Relaxed setting & good service too.More
Deliciously prepared, unique in taste, even the dessert pizza! Highly recommended and a must-visit when you stay over in New Bethesda.
We had the best pizzas ever - the bases are perfectly thin and have a perfect consistency and the toppings are to die for. The building has been beautifully restored and authentically decorated. The staff were also extremely friendly and efficient. Our favourite pizzas in...the world!More
Crazy about pizza, we opted to try Bruno’s in Nieu Bethesda. The bases offered a good crisp bite. The sauces were savoury with bright notes and the toppings and herbs were vibrant and fresh, baked with a generous amount of cheese. The premises are an...open floor concept, where you can take a sneak peek at the food being prepared. Ludolf and Carla, the owners looked after us and cooked us one of their speciality pizza, the spicy Lamb, it was incredible. Lovely little pizzeria in a beautiful setting!More
We settled with drinks on the terrace underneath the pink Karoo sky. Once inside, we enjoyed the atmospheric building with its white washed walls, candle light and the soothing rain outside. Our table shared a focaccia – crisp, not overtly flavoured with garlic and delicious....Then followed an array of pizzas – Karoo lamb, Thai chicken, Kudu salami and Anchovy pizza – all served with fresh herbs on thin, crisp bases and were generous in toppings. Friendly service ensured a relaxed evening.More
