Very high quality food in a relaxed, cozy atmosphere! Very pleasant even with dog. All staff very competent and accommodating. Anytime again! We had dinner 4 times during our stay at the Hotel Fleesensee-Resort, enjoyed the extensive breakfast every day and can recommend it without restriction.

We had made a reservation, and I think that was a good thing. The service was extremely friendly and courteous. The menu is clear and on the higher end of the price range. The food (we had three courses) was absolutely delicious and fresh. What I particularly liked were two offers for non-alcoholic aperitifs. Both were super tasty.

We were staying in the Schloss Hotel Fleesensee a few clicks up the road and did not want to be "hostage" to that resort, and the overall quality we experienced there. Please see my separate review on the latter to get an in-depth understanding of that wording.
So, we went looking for alternatives to have a nice meal and discovered the Hofwirtschaft simply by going by fellow TripAdvisor reviews.
The high ratings of this restaurant are fully deserved, and we enjoyed a truly delightful meal here.
In terms of cuisine, I think this place can best be described as comfort-food made to a very high culinary standard.
My steak tartar starter garnished with fish eggs and a quail's egg was really, really good, and it was the start of more greatness to come. As an American I have had my fair share of good ribs around the world, but I have to admit that the quality of their slow-cooked ribs is truly outstanding. In fact, aside from a few excellent BBQ places in the Midwest of the USA, I cannot readily think of places where I have had better. This was quite a pleasant discovery. My wife had the Schnitzel, and here, too, the kitchen did a top-rate job of dishing-up a great cut of veal with a perfect bread-crust and seasoned just right.
The restaurant is located in a quiet side-street, and the overall style is laid-back. No need to dress-up and no "airs" here either. The perfect setting to kick-back, relax and enjoy the end of another great day discovering the German "lake district".
