visited this famous ayam betutu restaurant two times, the second time was last year when i had a one day tour to Gilimanuk in November.i treated my driver,to have this betutu spiced chicken together.i ordered two portion of ayam betutu, cuz too spicy,so we ordered two aqua...and two iced tea.it is spicy enough, but delicious, especially if you love spicy food. betutu is an Indonesian-Balinese dish of steamed or roasted chicken or duck in rich bumbu betutu (betutu spice mix), the price is not cheap, but ok for me.be noted that there are many similar restaurant of ayam betutu,if you want to try Men Tempeh, then you have to check the address carefully, some restaurant even have the same name, but they will add other word to it,so just check it first,if you really care this.More

This place suppose to be the best as being the oldest in the area but it wasnt :( Not the best recipe tried in the area. It cost cheaper than other 2 places (110k only) for a full chicken, but flavor was a lot worst...and the chicken it was raw in most of his sides unfortunately felt not really well about that. i still stick with other restaurant across the road. it has same name in fact... thats just a personal taste and is ok when you tried different places we could compare themMore

Our daughter-in-law brought us here and insisted we should only savor the very best Ayam Betutu. There are several eateries selling this speciality but the really good one is near Gillimanuk Port and access is from a large car park. One has to climb a...flight of stairs and this restaurant is right in the middle. Our daughter-in-law ordered two different whole chickens, one which is spiced steamed and the other is spiced fried. Both are pistol hot with really deep flavors and each chicken taste different from the other. We are also provided with side dishes, vegetables which has been boiled or steamed with super spicy hot chilis, sambal and pickled onions and fried peanuts. It is delicious but recommended to those who can handle super spicy hot food.... believe me your tears will be running when you eat your first bite!More

Near Gilimanuk port, the location easy to find, with large parking area. But a lot of warung with Men Tempeh name. Don't know which one is the best. They served spicy ayam betutu with boil vegetables and fried peanut. The taste was great.

Very spicy food for me but I like it. I have to be back. But I dont like the trash around the restaurant with a disgusted smell, it was so bad. There are many "ayam betutu", just choose "Ayam betutu men tempeh atas 1978". There...are men tempeh's photos inside. Must try!More

They only have 2 menu, fried and betutu chicken. And all spicy. At first i'm afraid my 3y.o. child can't eat because of the spicyness, but when she tried the fried one, with some sweet soy sauce, she like it also. Quick service and yummy...taste. Recommended for spicy loverMore

My lunch here before I back to Surabaya. Choose 2 type of chicken, Betutu Chicken or Fried Chicken. And the chicken came with rice, kangkung, peanut, and Chilli paste (sambal). The taste was good and spicy (i like spicy food :D ). Recommended and if...you wanna to come here, better if call to reservation first.More

If you are travelling to North Bali and do not eat the Betutu Chicken from this place, you will have missed the most important thing about going there. Forget all that diving stuff. It is so spicy it will make you cry.
