About
In the center of TAGHAZOUT, restaurant Dar JOSEPHINE is organized around a generously vegetated terrace, making it a great place, open continuously from 9 am to 11pm, in a spirit of sharing and conviviality. Our long experience in Lyon cuisine, our research, travels, allow us to cook at any time home made meals from fresh market products or from the boat of fishermen. Daily homemade bread is baked in our restaurant. Inevitable and welcome here, crossing dogs and cats are fed, treated, vaccinated and sterilized with the help of the Association the " Coeur sur la Patte" managed to convince local authorities to help us in the operation "Vaccination and sterilization" only alternative to avoid proliferation and thereby to protect the population. Adults and kids are happy to join friendly animals and even indulge in a session of "Calinotherapie". Thus we contribute to "SAVE HOPE, SAVE THE ANIMALS WHICH ARE OUR HOPE" as advocated by the eminent anthropologist Conrad LORENZ!

Always a pleasure to visit this favourite place, the best restaurant in Taghazout to eat at , any time of day. Today it was breakfast and as usual it did not disappoint. Freshly squeezed orange juice to start. My partners’ fried fresh local eggs were to die for and my own perfectly cooked plain omelette was divine served with freshly cooked Moroccan Tafarnoute bread . Followed by two crepes each , served with home made Apricot jam, Amlou , Argan oil and regional honey. With perfect fresh ground coffee to finish . The best start to anyone’s day! Thank you Mohammed and team for this is fine dining to start the day ! May the new proprietors continue to flourish and succeed in this well established eatery , and it is such joy to see the legacy of Annie and Nicole live on in the sumptuous menu , a fusion of best Moroccan and fine French dining. Wonderful ambience , tasteful and stylish decor accompanied by beautiful cool soft jazz . Cannot be faulted in any way . Bravo everyone, and thank you . Marion and Ann

Probably one of the best cuisine experience you can have in Morocco . Fresh food ,the cooking of the dishes are just perfect .big surprise for us to find this quality in a small village like taghazout . The service is amazing Abdelwahed our waiter was so professional . And the best thing is the price for 10 euro you get first dishes , main plate and the dessert . If you pass by taghazout you should come you will not regret it 😉

Definitely the best value for money in Taghazout. As I said not perfect, service could be a little faster but they go the extra mile so cannot complain. Choice of food, presented on a chalkboard, is varied with a bit of everything for everyone. Have to say the lasagne was probably the best I’ve tasted outside of Italy, vege version a little less so but still pretty good. Three of us ate, a lot, and it cost €33. Gave it four stars as not perfect but for the money it’s so worth it.

Went here during my short stay in Agadir. limited menu choice with limited vegetarian/vegan choices. We ordered Tzatziki, very watery and too much cucumber and ladened with cumin. They bring you fresh bread without your asking for it and charge you are the end! We ordered vegetarian couscous for mains, a very large portion but very dry could have done with a sauce! Overall I would give this a three star

We were looking for real Moroccan flavors and this place was delicious! The keftas and pastilles were rich and spicy, we also had an excellent chicken dish with garlic. They also have a few non- Moroccan items- the kids loved the lasagna. The decor is funky and eclectic- lots of character. The place was packed so we recommend you reserve, especially if you have a large group.

My partner and I went for the 99 dirhams three course meal (about £8 each). Food was tasty without being exceptional.Onion tart and Moroccan sald for starter, Lasagne and (?) for main, yoghurt and panne cota for desert. The service was excellent; fast and friendly. Definitely a solid choice for Taghazout if you are unsure where to go for dinner.

This place stands out on the main road of Taghazout in the village centre. Easily identified by its highly vegetated terrace. Looks very inviting and provides welcome daytime shade from the hot Moroccan sun. You will find a cat or two on the terrace - they are adorable le and very friendly. They are there for a reason - owners initiated and support local dog and cat charity which is well worth supporting. Small restaurant opens up onto a larger terrace at front. Lovely chilled atmosphere. Menu offers a variety of different dishes- all homecooked. It was the vegetated terrace and smell of the food that attracted us here. Excellent service. Reasonable prices particularly given the quality of the food. A great place to be........

We visited the restaurant at around 8.00pm in the evening. It was busy and after a wait of about 40 mins we finally got a table. It’s a pretty relaxed place full of surfer types feeding on traditional cuisine. The decor is Moroccan with trees etc throughout the restaurant. The food was good with us feasting on traditional Moroccan breads and oils, followed with generous portions of Moroccan style lasagne. Service was grand but a system of organising waiting times would really help. Happy to recommend based on the food (and doesn’t serve alcohol).

Great restaurant, lovely atmosphere and delicious food. It's popular though so book in advance. We ate a couple of times during our week in Taghazout, enjoyed both meals and would have gone back if staying longer. The calamari, roast chicken and pastille especially tasty and memorable; top marks for the freshly baked bread - amazing; definitely have a sweet, all delish. Staff very efficient and hardworking to keep all flowing smoothly. A gem of a place and charming space.

Lovely restaurant. Always full and booking recommended. A great choice of dishes. Food is lovely. However with just 2 waiters working the whole space, there are continuing service issues which need to be addressed.

Great place, great home cooked meals. Very clean and with lical fresh ingredients. Kind and professional staff. Lovely Owners who were always concerned that you were well taken care of. A must go to! The garden look and the famous quotes makes you believe that you have left Morocco and landed in a nice french rural restaurant!

Best Moroccan Food in Town! Warm bread and delicious oliveoil as appetizer, nice selection of local dishes, also some vegetarian & vegan options. Paying with cc would be nice but they accept also cash of all main currencies. Absolutely recommend

Had dinner 3X during our stay. Food the best we have had in Tagazhou and a good value relative to other sit down dining options in Tag Village. Kefta Tagine a favorite as well as Eggplant parmigiana for Vegetarian! Need to book in advance as they are often full up.
