General Thai chicken was soggy with mushy broccoli and there was an inch of liquid in the dish. Ordered Cantonese Chow Mein (crispy egg noodles) however the noodles had been boiled/steamed and were by no means crispy - very disappointing. Basil fried rice was okay, but not as good as usual and not many vegetables. Pepper beef was good. Spring rolls were good. Golden curry was good (per guest as I don’t eat curry). The last time we ordered from Lychee Thai (2-weeks ago), all of the dishes were exceptional! Maybe it was a different cook tonight? Seems to be hit and miss on different days, however the pepper beef has been consistently good. Of note, we picked up the order at the specified time and live very close by.

I really enjoyed our lunch at Lychee Thai. My daughter and I went for her Birthday Date. We both enjoyed the meal. For Sault natives and visitors, it is nice to have an alternatives to pizza, burgers and/or Italian. I like burgers and pizza.
Service was certainly good.
Food was good. It didn't blow me away but we both enjoyed our meals. What more could I expect or ask for?!

The seating area requires some upgrades as chairs/benches are torn. The food ordered was average. The server was pleasant. Will not return to this establishment.

Really enjoyed the food. We ordered a variety of dishes and they were all excellent. They were also of a generous portion size.

We called an hour after closing and we’re still offered express service, offering pick up option with food ready in 15 minutes. The food was okay but the service definitely made up for it.

The food has very nice flavours. It is great having a Thai restaurant in the city, and we like to support it. The place is a little small, but cozy.

We rolled in here looking for a bite to eat after a very long day. Unfortunately we arrived 30 minutes before closing. Where we come from this would have a been a problem, but not here. We were told they would not serve us food, but we could order takeout if we hurried. This was not acceptable so they lost our business.

Walking up Queen St, we found Lotus Thai. The wonderful aroma of Thai food drew us in. We tried two versions of Pad Thai, the mango salad, and an eggplant dish. All were good, arrived promptly, washed down with jasmine tea. The service was attentive, prices reasonable.

It's nice to have a diverse choice of food in a smaller city. So I was pleased that there was a Thai that a co-worker recommended while I was in town for work. The first night I tried to go, it was packed and the wait for a take-away was 30 minutes so I left. The next day, I called in a pick up order for lunch thinking it would be faster. It was a 25-30 minute wait. So, I'm not going to pick on them for that. Food is made to order is what that tells me. Just tell you so you plan ahead.
I had the Bankok Style Phad Thai. I asked what the difference is and was told it was sweeter, spicier and saucier than Phad Thai. I wasn't sure because I don't like sweet. Also I forgot my rule. I judge a Thai place on their pad thai, classic to see if i like it. Some of the cheaper places in Toronto replace the palm sugar and tamarind base with ketchup. That gives it that reddish tangy flavour. I HATE! I'm not entirely sure but I think that's what I got.
The dish was piping hot and full of veggies but very skimpy serving of tofu. It was mainly noodles. I get thai takeout at least 2x a month and so they can't use that excuse as to HOW DRY the dish was. It was bone dry. There was no sauce, it was all absorbed. Like I said, I get take out alot from Thai and that doesn't need to happen. The only place I have had it like that was mall thai, at Thai Fresh or whatever that is. That's what this was like, clumpy.
It was tasty enough but I don't know if I would go back for that dish. It's a small town and I go frequently for work. It doesn't have alot of choices nearby so I think I'll try a curry next time.
Oh average dish cost was 15-20 for a noodle dish. But the poor on value wasn't because that range is crazy. It's poor value for the dish I ate that day.

Some dishes like the thick peanut curry were outstanding. Pad Thai and soups were excellent. Portions were large. Service was quick and attentive. Tables were small and were all very tight booths. Route to bathroom required excessive maneuvering. A great place that needs a new location.

This restaurant claims to serve authentic Thai food, but that is completely false.
My wife and I love Thai food and have ate in many places around the world. This place is the absolutely the worst !! It's not even Thai food ! It tasted like Chinese food, trying to be Thai.
We couldn't finish our meal it was so bad.
By the way, this is the first time I have even written a review on-line.
I saved the restaurant brochure, to make sure I write a review when I had time to warn people.
Stay away !!

We had time to kill before an event at the GFL Memorial Gardens arena and came here for dinner. The menu looked more Chinese than Thai. There was a fire on Queen St. so the restaurant was pretty empty. We had spring rolls to start - they were freshly made, not from frozen, and really excellent. Then we split two plates: General Tso chicken and a vegetable dish, baby book Choi with tofu and broccoli. Both were very tasty and fresh—the chicken crispy and sweet/sour and the vegetables cooked crisp.
