Delicious food, friendly efficient service all set amongst a plethora of art works. We had a great dinner and have also had the lunch time tapas in the garden. Will go back.

We had our son's wedding at Papillon (the Bistro's venue) in November 2020. Liz was a delight to work with. The food was prepared with care and the menu she offered us was something we would not be able to get anywhere else.

We had a delicious selection of tapas as we sat in the beautiful, tranquil garden. We were really impressed with the foos, prices and service!

Really nice restaurant with great ambiance and some interesting art works. The chef very much around the restaurant and attentive. Food was good but lacked depth perhaps a bit more seasoning is required. Portions were substantial and well presented.

I was surprised to be offered a vegan menu. It was the first, ond only time this happened to me in South Africa. The restaurant is to be applauded for including many vegetarian or vegan choices on the regular menu as well. I enjoyed the...meal very much.More

We ate there after a days birding in the area . The food was wonderful . The young lady who was the waitron was very helpful and friendly . The beer was ice cold . As to the food . A brie and bacon starter.... A fillet medalions with pepper sauce . A calamari and chourico dish and one of the best Beef curries i have tasted . Well done and thank you . In addition the breakfast packs that you made went down like a homesick mole . Thank youMore

Who on earth does these ratings...? We ordered Haloumi and a Salad. Well. Thick soggy haloumi...with a raw garlic ( not pesto) slop. Over ripe tomatoes that looked like they must have been recycled from leftovers since Christmas day. The salad was absolutely meaningless. And...the owner....very rude to her staff in front of the guests.More

Eating at Lizzy’s is like having a meal at the gates of heaven. The lunch tapas have a wide variety and the evening meals are superb. The service is great. We have spent many happy meals here. Will always return.

The Bistro came highly recommended by our hosts at out bed and breakfast in Wakkerstroom. We went for dinner expecting a gastronomic affair of delightful food...well I cant say it was that. I choose a crepe filled with creamed spinach topped with cheese sauce and...tomato. The spinach was watery and the entire meal was flavourless... I am reviewing this now in November since we were back in wakkerstroom this past week 15 November my husband cannot even recall his meal in August...that how memorable his dish was. This establishment will not see me again.More

I had the privilege of going to this restaurant twice in October 2019, in the company of my brother, a retired, or rather, a semi-retired, professor of law.He owns a weekend retreat in the town and invited me over for a road trip. We ended...up going to this establishment twice. On both occasions we selected different items from the menu. In both instances we were just blown away with the quality of the food presented. The first time I had the fresh asparagus with hollandaise, cooked to perfection, so fresh and crunchy, the best I ever had followed by Arroz de Mariscos, Portuguese seafood rice with prawns, calamari topped with crispy whitebait. A feast! The second time I had the Kalamaria Yestima, Grilled squid stuffed with feta on a bed of spinach. By this time my brother realised that I happen to pick the best dishes on the menu and he followed suit. It was simply gorgeous. The owners Paul and Lizza made us feel most welcome, and on both occasions it was a very memorable evening. Thank you Paul and Lizza, your establishment, the ambiance and kind hospitality, was the highlight of the road trip.More
