We have been coming here for years now. The decor has improved, and the owners and staff have changed. But, it is still the same menu (literally), and the quality of the meals remains unchanged too. Just superb quality ingredients and cooking. The head waiter...(Christain) did a very professional job. His young assistant needs to learn that stacking plates at the table is not a good idea. Prices remain in the "value for money category".More

With Covid restriction lowered we needed a break from home cooking. We have eaten in 5 Star Michelin restaurants in a number of overseas countries and this place's meals compare very favourably. In particular, the price, at a two Course meal is set at $56...and three course at $66. There is also corkage fee of $3.50 per drinker. Plenty of cold water, free pate and excellent personal service. The place has an old world charm you would find in a place in Paris. Clients tend to be middle aged or older by my kids love the place. They have specific seating times and arrangements with Covid sign in and all the other measure you would want. Parking in the street or a council carpark 50m away. Bus stop outside. Great place with not rush and it gave us all time to talk and catch up.More

A well located small restaurant with friendly and knowledgeable staff to welcome you. It presents a fixed price menu with a large selection of familiar dishes. We were a group of 7 who ordered quite a variety and everyone seemed very happy with their choices....I had and would recommend the lamb brains followed by grilled barramundi. Both were cooked beautifully. The place was full but the service was still handling it without any problems. It is BYO although you can buy wine there (please check this). The corkage at $4 was more than reasonable! I recommend this restaurant to anyone.More

While we fully enjoyed our meal and can’t fault the lovely waitress we need to address the rudeness of the waiter. From the moment we sat down until we finished our meals we felt constantly pushed to hurry up despite taking a 5.30 sitting with...a 2.15 sitting time.It wasn’t until I complained how disappointed I was that he informed us that they had double booked our table that they needed us out quicker. I was going to book another night for friends in coming weeks but will suggest thinking against this restaurant. Very disappointedMore

Took my wife here for our anniversary and had a superb meal and experience - it was our first time. It was during the time that the restaurant could only seat 10 people ( think it normally has 24 covers) so nice and quiet. Having...spent a lot of time in France, the food is genuinely French and of a high quality. I had French Onion soup, Beef Wellington - perfectly cooked, followed by profiteroles. Prices very good, you pay $66 for a three course meal but it is only BYO for alcohol (not a bottle shop that near). Not sure about the plastic chairs - feels a bit like school chairs and decor is simple. Definitely recommend and will be going backMore

Food at this restaurant is always spot on. So it is wonderful to see them innovate and offer their delicious food as a takeaway option. The food transferred beautifully and the only difference was that we not sitting amongst the red, white and blue. I...wish you all the best over the coming weeks. Service, delivery and quality of food was excellent (I hope I did service justice 🙂).More

This is a small and very popular restaurant and is noisy like the reviews that we had read. There is only one waiter and he seems to be determined not to be run off his feet. When shown to our table we put a cold...bottle of champagne on it, but he had no interest in keeping it cold. When he came back for our order we had to ask for an ice bucket. We had 3 courses and each time the empty plates were just left on the table. Having waited far longer than normal I eventually put my arm in the air and signalled him to come to our table when he was delivering meals to another one and asked him to remove the dinner plates. We sat and chatted after our dessert but were unable to attract his attention to ask for our bill or remove the plates. In the finish when we wanted to leave we had to get up and go over to him. The plates were still on the table. Not good enough in our opinion. We have eaten in various similar restaurants with nowhere near the patronage and there has always been 2 waiters serving and attending to guests’ needs.More

Used to be located on Military Rd Mosman and relocated to Sydney Rd Balgowlah. Thank goodness we didn't lose this one! Set menu, reasonable prices, BYO and order everything! My mouth is watering as I type!

We have been going to the different variations of this restaurant for nearly 30 years and it has NEVER dissapointed us! We now live interstate and could never come back to NSW without having a meal here. The food is always amazing!

We live within walking distance of this restaurant and it is a regular treat for us to eat here. The food is really lovely, we never have to sit waiting wondering what happened to the main course. The food is top class, there is complimentary...pate and toast to begin with and the service is always excellent. I love the decore too, blue walls, mirrors, French paintings and if you're early you get to hear an Edith Piaf CD. Nothing is too muich trouble and Michael the chef is a perfectionist. Highly recommended. We go with friends or on our own and the service is always the same. Well done everyone.More
