WORST EXPERIENCE OF TBIS TRIP. The shot girls are SUPER pushy but what was even worse is one of them tried to scam us by coming up to us and giving us shots telling us to drink it and then trying to charge us when...we didn’t ask for them and assumed they were free since we bought other drinks there. Her name is Vane look out for her. Super manipulative staff. Be careful they also overcharge you on the bill and their conversion to American dollars is beneficial to them.More

Visited on Christmas Day around 8pm 2020. Very bad experience. Several servers did not wear masks properly after I told hem several times. They say it’s cash only but I didn’t find out until the end - even though they had signs that says they...accept visa and a sing that says they do not accept beige. The men’s bathroom upstairs did not flush either. The manager said my options didn’t matter because I’m American and in Mexico.More

Watch out for the hustlers, cash only environment. Under no circumstances should you use a credit card. Losing its appeal, internet reviews are powerful.

Atmosphere was fun, friendly staff, good music. Only downside is they tell you you have to order an appetizer if you order a drink. Also getting hassled by the vendors downtown was irritating.

Fat Tuesday had the best music ( r n b/ hip hop) the atmosphere was fun and full of energy!! We went there every night we were in Cancun! The staff was amazing as well! I used my card to pay for whatever ordered- I...did notice a slight difference in cost for one round compared to the others but who cares? It was a vacation and so much fun! The drinks were always flowing and music was always great! If your up for a fun time in a place that is not packed where you can actually dance and enjoy the company of those you came with Fat Tuesday is for you!More

We went here with friends and had separate bills. When we got our bill the first thing we noticed is they only give 18 pesos to the dollar! At the time the exchange rate was over 21 pesos to the dollar! Also we had just...3 cocktails and two entrees and the bill was just under a hundred dollars!More

Last night we decided to go into Fat Tuesday's to celebrate my sisters birthday. The waitress (Karla) appeared warm and friendly (on the surface). We enjoyed a round or two of drinks and continued our time there watching the younger crowd who was on Spring...Break dance and live life! Our bill came and I whipped out my AMEX to pay. The waitress responded "we don't take that." I said ok, at no point in time did you or anyone else say that they didn't accept AMEX, please get the manager. The manager ( a man) came over and said (with an attitude) AMEX wasn't accepted. I explained to him the importance of arming his staff with verbiage at the START of a tab to run down the forms of payment. I have traveled all over the world and have always used my AMEX. He then instructed me to go across the street and get cash. Now, I make VERY good money but am WELL AWARE of the fees AMEX charges for a cash withdrawal. I refused. He then went to get the "security" and they proceeded to cause a mild scene shining flash lights and making it "appear" as though we didn't want to pay the bill. The manager then told me that with AMEX he "doesn't get his money quick enough." I replied "that is not my problem." I cut to the chase and told him that I am well aware that AMEX typically charges high interchange rates... He said yes so I need to charge you a higher rate. I said, no "that is not my problem." Finally a member of my party used her cash to pay the bill due to the growing crowd. See there are a few issues here 1)- we visited an establishment and were not told that AMEX wasn't accepted 2)- I didn't see a visible sign about methods of payment and when I asked the manager he didn't point one out to me . 3) It was my sisters birthday and I wanted to pay as the member of our party with cash held on to the cash for tipping 4) the bill was EXTREMELY small compared to what I am use to spending when I go out (about 2,000 pesos/ $120ish USD) 5) I wanted to DOUBLE Karla's gratuity because she appeared to be "professional and kind" on the surface. In closing, I learned that one of my guests overheard Karla tell another waitress to "watch our table." It is sad that in 2020 a person of color still has to deal with that, especially from another person of color.... The thing is my entire party and myself are ALL extremely successful. We don't need to, nor would we dare, skip out on a tab (watch a table for a measly $130??? LOL) We enjoy traveling and enjoying the fruits of our labor. We've enjoyed tipping (BIG) those in Mexico that have met us with a smile and have been kind throughout the duration of our encounters. On my next go round in Cancun I will kindly walk by Fat Tuesday's....More

My wife was shopping in the market so I decided to wait here and have a beer. After I ordered a Tecate I decided it had been a long day and I knew my wife would be a while so I thought that I would...also like a shot of whiskey. First of all they over charged me about 40% for the drinks but with the exchange difference and it being later in the day I didn't catch it until I had already paid, and tipped. Then I tried the "Jim Beam" i ordered which clearly was not Jim Beam, after two servers smelling it and assuring me it was Jim Beam I asked the bar tender to see the bottle he poured from. It was some cheap ass "Scotch" which I am quite sure was really some cheap ass tequila or something else. BEWARE this place is a complete rip off. Had I caught this sooner I would have handled differently but they already had my money so I just finished my beer, decided it was a fairly cheap lesson and left.More

I normally don’t write reviews but I had to since I love this place every time I go, I go to Cancun at least 3-4 times a year, I was there this past week Jan 5-9 2020 and I saw what I believed is there...manager about to hit a older gentleman with a nightstick. Mind you, it is Cancun some people do get drunk but in no way should someone get hit with any type of object, just escort the individual out of the place. But this manager was rude as hell he went off yelling obscenities and threatening him. Munoz is his name he’s tall and skinny, I only got his name because I asked for it. if you are in Cancun I’d stay away from there if he is still working there, I know I won’t be going there anytime knowing he’s there. In my whole time going there I had never witnessed anything like that at all.More
