Atmosphere is understated yet very agreeable with attentive detailed service at an amazing price point., a wonderful chef is in this kitchen so try it.

I can totally recommend this place! The have a nice location with a backyard garden vibe, very attentive waiters and the food is nicely displayed and tastes wonderful!

A little outside of the tourist streets, Xut blew us away on every front. The food was some sort of fusion between Mexican and European styles we still can't describe, and the tastes were almost Michelin star worthy but without the fuss and the frills....Dishes like wild tomato soup, coffee and chocolate marinated beef and stuffed chicken in mole negro all sound good on their own, but Xut takes it to the next level. Fresh tastes and rich flavours, unexpected combinations and all was cooked to perfection (and surprisingly light to digest too!). We came here for the positive reviews and we loved the place. It's the first place in San Cristobal that lived up to the reviews in our experience. My wife had the pork and I had the abondogas. Both were great. They also have local...artisan beer - the stout was great. Service was good and prices were cheaper than other similar places.More

What a fabulous place for a meal, even during covid. My daughter had been before with her family and now brought us…..but made us sit outside. No problem, we were….almost…..dressed appropriately. The service was good, and even in English, and the food was even better....It was all beautifully presented and delicious. We all had bits of everyone’s and all were gobbled up. We were really too full for postres, but had two anyway, which were excellent and good. Definitely a place to visit again.More

The tuna tartar and chicharon arrachera were favorites. The gorditas and empanadas were also great. Workers seemed overwhelmed, perhaps short staffed, and warned us our food would take longer than normal to come out. We stayed anyways but saw others decide to go elsewhere. Glad...we stayed because though the waiter took a little while to take our order, once he did the food came out soon after. Highly recommended.More

Very friendly staff. I actually had a take-out menu for me and my family and they were very accomodating, offered to deliver to our place. Tostones with Quinoa was the surprising highlight.

We came here for dinner for our last meal in San Cristobal and very glad we chose Xut. The space is pretty cool with a nice courtyard, as well as in house dining areas. They provided a free appetizer of Dorados with a blue cream...cheese side, which was a nice touch and delicious. We had the vegetarian pasta and that was a good serving size and tasted nice too. On a whim we also ordered the deep fried Oreos and OMG they were awesome!! They were like fried icecream balls but filled with Oreos instead. They came with and ice cream and strawberries too, so delicious!More

Few blocks off the main drag which is nice and peaceful. The best home cooked, authentic food, using ingredients typical to the Chiapas region. The quality was excellent, and we got a free little starter. The outdoor courtyard and the decor made it too, as...well as the service- they were so lovely! Highly recommend.
