Lovely food, staff were great, but the portions were a bit stingy. Had Xmas meals and had one parsnip and two potatoes. I should of mentioned at the time really. Lovely Xmas atmosphere.

A lovely pre-Christmas lunch with two work friends. Service was quick & friendly. It was pretty busy with a lot of people having the Christmas menu. We stuck with the general menu and the food was spot on. The Crown burger was delicious. There was...a lovely cosy Christmassy atmosphere. I could have stayed all day.More
Very rude staff.. No children's menu available or the lunch menu nit available on a weekend, we had no choice but to order on the main menu it is very expensive for a burger and a handful of chips, no salad or anything., also over...an hour wait with no mention of this from the staff or apologies. Very disappointed by all 20 of my family members.More
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We were able to squeeze in your table of 20 with two days notice. We were already fully booked on this day hence the wait on food. Perhaps next time booking in advance would help...More
We had a cousin’s reunion yesterday, 21st October, there were 40 of us in total and all of us eating. The room was fabulous and seated us well, organising it was made easy by the very friendly approachable staff and on the day the service...was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble and the food came out efficiently, with no issues with everything being delicious; no mean feat with so many of us. Thanks so much to The Crown and it’s staff for making our special day, even better than we could have hoped. We’ll be back and will definitely recommend.More
booked a table at the crown for a meal for mine and and my husbands anniversary. staff were friendly and efficient and always had a smile on their face. food was lovely especially the pies! cosy pub with a great atmosphere. will definitely be back...for a few drinks by the fire!More
Visited here for afternoon tea with family. The service was pretty slow even though it was quiet, but the afternoon tea was lovely, plenty of filling food and tasty cakes! Really nice interior too, would definitely visit again!
Decent service and nice decor, but let down by the low quality food. Left with a stomach ache and won't be returning anytime soon.
I have been coming here quite often recently with friends for some drinks as the garden is lovely, but me and my partner came here this evening, and we were so disappointed. We each had a cider which didn’t taste great, it was the first...pour after a barrel change so I know there was nothing that could be done. We then had food, I had scampi and my partner had a burger, mine was £14.50 and his was a bit more and it was just so bland for the price we paid! I didn’t eat much. The chips were so dry and the scampi was average, as was the burger. Its such a nice place but is so expensive, so the food should absolutely be better than this. I hate writing a bad review but it is just disappointing for the price. Don’t think i’ll be back for food anytime soon :(More
Usually 5 star alas not this time bar order wrong food served on badly chipped plate when waitress informed told plate would be thrown away. Cold peas with scampi. Toilet seat dangerous as bad break again staff informed told they were aware toilet should not...have been I use. Hopefully back to star on next visit. Felt very let down and disappointedMore
Lunchtime bite and a drink . Staff are all very friendly and helpful . The pub and it’s gardens are well kept and very relaxing to be In. We opted for the lunchtime fish and chips at £7 each and even though the place was...very busy inside they delivered in less than 15 minutes and it was delicious . Highly recommend , thank you for a really nice lunch .More
We arrived at The Crown, Saltford, as recommended by staff at The Globe as they were fully booked ( though looked very empty). Positives: car park was busy so suggested it was well supported. A small table near the bar was available without the need...to book Negatives: a passing comment from a local when asked what the pub was like perhaps should have alerted us when told it was ‘better than it used to be’ . We were hungry from travelling all day so still gave it a go. We decided on pizzas made with their own pizza dough as it sounded tasty. The one with pepperoni was a little spicy with a fair flavour when eating the parts with pepperoni, though the mascarpone chicken was quite bland tasting. Toppings were in short supply. Granted, pizza ovens can be difficult to control when cooking, but the pepperoni pizza arrived with a very burnt base and top crust. It was easy to chop off and discard the burnt crust, though not so easy to discard the burnt bottom. The mascarpone chicken was a tad less burnt on the crust, but still burnt on the bottom. The burnt areas really overpowered the pizza taste and detracted from enjoying our meal. We ate them, because we were hungry. The waitress did ask how our meal was, but only when she cleared away the plates and cutlery, though no response was forthcoming when told it was just ‘alright’. The table was uneven on the floor, so we kept our feet on the base whilst we ate our meal. Elderflower tonic water on tap had no real elderflower taste to it. Served with ice, but no lemon. Value for money? Probably not really. Would we go again? Probably not.More
Just had my birthday party in the Buddha Tea Barn and it’s fabulous. Hollie and the team are amazing as is the food. Would highly recommend for anyone holding any kind of celebration
Wonderful afternoon tea to celebrate a 60th birthday. Good selection of cakes and sandwiches which were so fresh and tasty. Endless tea and coffee were available. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they were more than happy for us to bring our own birthday...decorations. Would highly recommend a visit!!! Thank you!!!!More
A group of 4 enjoyed an excellent Thursday evening meal. Having not visited for many years, we were amazed by the transformation inside, really well set out and decorated, and so much space. We all had pies from the menu. All fantastic and huge. Staff...were attentive and helpful. Nothing to faul and...we'll be back!More
Our evening was ruined by the fact the heating was not working. The food was good although nor as much choice as I was expecting, a good selection of gin made for a happy wife on that score.
