Pizzas were poorly made. Base and topping sloppy. Waited and hour before we could order. Ran out of lemonade even though there are local shops within meters. Very disappointed. Not worth the pricey bill.

Fish in the Hake/Calamari Combo (Fried) was raw and under cooked. Management handle the situation poorly with a discount of 13% for raw fish. The waitress was left to do the explanation.

A little gem in Groot Brak. Food was decent. Pizza was excellent. Ribs could be better. Nice atmosphere. Live music on some nights. Drinks specials. Will definitively visit again.

We had never been to Searles Village before, and went there on a Friday evening due to our usual restaurant being very quiet. From the minute we sat down outside to eat, we were enthralled with Searles Village, the prices, the food, the service and...ambiance. But best of all was still to come. After we finished eating, we decided to go inside to check out the live music, and sat down to listen to the 2 guys playing. They were called Two's a Crowd, and they sang mainly songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's. Quite a few people, young and old, got up to dance. We loved the atmosphere so much, we ordered another bottle of wine, and sat listening to the music for another 2 hours!More

It was an average evening - not too busy. The service was excellent but it might be different on a busy night. The food was very good and I will go back there if I am in the area again. The atmosphere is rustic and...might be considered "pub-like". The history of Searles and the town is proudly displayed on the walls. Very special.More

Thursday is pensioner's specials day at this pub, but when we chose to eat there, we had no idea what an enjoyable time awaited us! Not only did we have a great meal at affordable prices, but we were treated to live music by a...talented trumpet player/vocalist and his backing singer/ keyboard player. The music was well chosen for his mainly older diners and it was so pleasant to hear good music from the 60's! The staff were efficient and friendly too, and went the extra mile to answer my questions regarding the old photos they have on the walls. Just so impressed!More

Awesome venue with live music and good food. One small complaint- dirty ashtrays stored at the front door, and smoking area near the children’s playground. Otherwise awesome 👏

The food was good no complaints there but this could be due to the fact that we were starving when the food arrived. However we arrived at 12:30 and only got our food just past 2:00. Therefore we had to wait a hour and a...half before we got our food. During this time numerous people came and complained as they too have had to wait a ungodly time for their food to arrive ( in one case where the food didn’t come ). This made the experience horrible and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. On the way out we chatted to a regular customer and apparently this is a regular occurrence which is clearly a problem they need to solve.More

We visited the establisment twice in the last month (my first encounter), and the place did grow on me.... Very rustic, with a story to tell of yesteryear, which makes for a intesting first visit. No fault to find with the menu and good service...too, some evenings they do have live music as well. If you find yourself in the area, a visit to Searles Village is a good option to investigate.More

We have visited Searles a few times... the waiting time has differed from 20 minutes up until over 2 hours (at which point we left hungry) the food also ranges from very average to very good. You win some, you lose some, but without consistency...you cannot run a business. Let's hope things improve as teething problems can no longer be used as an excuse.More
