We have been coming here for years. Last two visits have been very disappointing. During our last visit, I sent my wahu fish back twice as it came out cold. The third time it was quite warm but dry and the chimmichuri sauce was just...okay. The veggies were also overdone. Overall a C- Julie our server was delightful and seemed to care about my disappointment . Before this time, our experience was also below par. Service was below average - brought us wrong drinks and the main courses was also not served. hot. Would not come back during off-season.More

My husband and I took a day trip to St. John mainly to see the beaches there. However after spending the day at Hawk’s nest beach we decided to try one of the restaurants for dinner. As we were leaving Hawk’s nest, waiting on a...taxi to come by a lovely local couple offered us a ride back to town. We mentioned in our conversations that we were hoping to be able to get in to Moran’s Mango for dinner. As it turns out the lovely couple happened to be Jason (the bartender at Morgan’s Mango) and his lovely wife! They dropped us near the restaurant and the very nice hostess offered us a seat at the bar at 5:30. We were so happy to get in, the service at the bar (thanks Jason, Kaylee, and Eruo(sp) we enjoyed our time at the bar. I had the coconut encrusted grouper (YUM) and the hubby had the seafood Paella (he’s a Paella snob and he loved it!). As an appetizer we had the lamb empanada and that was amazing. We were completely stuffed but the key lime pie came highly recommended so we couldn’t say no, sure glad we didn’t as it was wonderful! If you’re in St. John…GO HERE!!!More

We had made reservations in advance, had an email confirmation. When we arrived we were told we did not have a reservation even though we produced the email confirming our reservation upon the hostess saying "All my tables are full with real reservations." They pulled...a table out from the back squeezed us in. I give kudos to our waitress who was very positive and lovely which is the only reason I gave three stars. The food was average beyond belief, no flavors, cold soup, lots of canned vegetables, nothing fresh and original. The cocktails were overly sweet. Dessert was good. Unfortunately, a disappointment for a special dinner we were looking forward to.More

All entrees were top notch, but I went there for the fresh catch of the day. The Wahoo was smothered in the most delectable mango rum sauce and all the desserts were out of this world!

Once we sat down, we asked the server if certain things were good from drinks to items On the menu. All the server said on all of the questions from a table of seven, “it’s been on the menu for 28 years”, with a rude...undertone as if we were out of line for asking? Is that even necessary? All you have to say is, I particularly like one dish or the other or one drink or the other. The grouper was bland & dry. Mojito was amazing! It’s pricey & I would expect a higher level of service. Love the beaches, but I would love to see locals being kinder and not so rude. 50-50 on local kindness/rudeness😑More

The ambiance here was great. Our server was a little rough around the edges personality wise, but we just lived through a pandemic so fine. The food was hit or miss. The osso bucco was cooked very well. The pork chop was too! Enjoyed the...key like pie! A few misses were the fish special, which was Wahoo. It was the driest fish preparation for this type of fish. Like you needed to wash eat bite down. The quinoa with cheese appetizer was suspect. The ceviche could have use more acid and few yucca chips were inconsistent in preparation. The tres leches dessert was a dry piece of cake with a spoonful of maybe dos leches hahaha! Not a memorable meal. Certainly missed it on the fish dishes.More

Had a really nice evening with the family recently. Food was very good. Not amazing but very good. Atmosphere top notch. Waitress was a professional. She was very good at taking care of us.

We have been visiting the island for about nine years and we speak about Morgan's Mango to everyone we meet that will be visiting the VI. The lobster has NEVER been a disappointment, the Paella is the best we have EVER tasted. This year we...invite our aunt and uncle to visit the restaurant and they were extremely pleased. They did not get the opportunity to order dessert (because the entrée was so filling), but got back to the mainland, read and wrote a review, and insisted that we order and try the Key lime pie (everyone raved about in the reviews). Ohhhhhhh myyyyy Gosh!!! I don't even like deserts but it was the greatest I have ever tasted! One of the owners came over while we were enjoying the dessert and told us it was her personal recipe. I can't rate this restaurant high enough.More

Where to start…every single dish was a disappointment. For the price of the meal you would expect creative/flavorful dishes, but none present. Ceviche was the most underwhelming ceviche we have ever had, the texture was off. Lobster catch of the day was rubbery and weirdly...had a bitter taste. Catch of the day was raw and not edible. Btw only one out of four is local fish. All the other fish flown in I.e. salmon, halibut. If you like flavor in your food try some of the local food stalls instead for better food.More
